Highlights from the Nicosia Antiracist Festival 2026! ✨ The Nicosia Antiracist Festival 2026 brought together people, cultures, voices, and stories in a collective stand against racism and exclusion. Through dialogue, art, music, education, and community action, the festival created a space where diversity was celebrated, marginalized voices were amplified, and solidarity became something lived and shared. Over the past year, the AntiRacism360 project worked to empower and equip young people and youth workers in Cyprus and Greece with the knowledge, tools, and skills needed to challenge racism and promote inclusive communities. Through research and training activities, community engagement, the development of two reports, and a youth-friendly toolkit for community-level antiracist actions, the project encouraged young people to actively participate in building more equitable, antiracist, and inclusive societies. All project outputs are available on our website as free and accessible antiracist educational resources. The festival represented an important moment within this journey, emphasizing intercultural dialogue, creativity, and collective action against discrimination in all its forms. We would like to once again thank all contributing NGOs and partners, artists, food and crafts vendors, technicians, volunteers, as well as Kafeneio Prozak and the University of Nicosia for hosting us. Another heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who attended, participated, or supported us throughout all AntiRacism360 project activities. Together, we continue to show that inclusion, solidarity, and antiracist action are built collectively through community, participation, and dialogue. The AntiRacism360 project was implemented by Generation for Change CY (Cyprus), Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity (Greece), and YEU Cyprus (Cyprus) and was co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program. #ErasmusPlus #ErasmusPlusCyprus #Antiracism360 #YouthEmpowerment #InclusiveCommunities

Nicosia Antiracist Festival 2026 🗣️ A weekend full of meaningful cultural, human exchange. „We are all part of it. That’s why it is a community thing.“ Important words from @theafrogreeks From lectures about feminist actions with @migs_cy to uniting through dancing to amazing music by @tatadana_band and @mc_yinka , there were multiple artists, small businesses and NGO‘s to discover! Thank you @generationforchangecy for having us. YEU Cyprus and TuneIn are more than happy for being part of this festival, representing the voice of young people and telling curious youth about their opportunities of discovering Europe. If you are curious about it, check out our linktree/ website or send us a dm :)

🎞️ We are thrilled to share the success of the Short Film Screenings & Dialogue: Migration, Identity, and Labour in Focus, held on Day 1 of the Nicosia Antiracist Festival 2026. The session offered a powerful space to explore the lived realities of migration, identity, and labour beyond headlines and statistics, highlighting stories that are often unheard or misunderstood. Through film and artistic expression, participants engaged in reflection, dialogue, and critical discussion on issues including labour exploitation and community belonging. The evening began with the screening of Not As I Thought by Step Up Stop Slavery, following the story of a man trapped in labour trafficking abroad, followed by a discussion on labour exploitation and prevention in Cyprus with Katerina Stephanou and Irene Che. The second part presented excerpts from AfroGreeks, a long-term community art project by the Døcumatism collective, featuring video portraits, performances, and community participation that highlight the experiences of Greeks of African origin in Athens. This was followed by a discussion with Grace Nwoke on the stories, experiences, and creative processes behind the project. A huge thank you to all speakers, artists, and participants for making the session engaging, insightful, and inspiring. Your presence and contributions helped amplify marginalized voices and foster meaningful dialogue. Special thanks to the University of Nicosia and Bridges for Tomorrow for their support in the implementation of the sessions. The sessions were organized within the framework of the AntiRacism360 project, co-funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program. #UnitedWeRise #NicosiaAntiracistFestival

Short Film Screenings & Dialogue: Migration, Identity, and Labour in Focus Within the framework of the Nicosia Antiracist Festival 2026 Have you ever considered how identity, belonging, and migration are experienced beyond headlines and statistics? Stories of migration are often reduced to simplified narratives, while the lived realities of identity, community, and belonging remain unheard or misunderstood. At the same time, issues such as labour exploitation continue to affect many migrants in ways that remain largely invisible. How can film and artistic expression help us better understand these experiences and create space for dialogue and reflection? Join us at the Nicosia Antiracist Festival (Day 1) for an evening of short film screenings and dialogue exploring migration, identity, and labour through powerful storytelling and discussion. Together, we will open space for reflection and exchange to: 1️⃣ Explore lived experiences of migration, identity, and belonging through film and artistic expression 2️⃣ Reflect on how creative practices can amplify marginalized voices and foster awareness, empathy, and dialogue 3️⃣ Understand the mechanisms and realities of labour exploitation and trafficking in Cyprus and beyond The session will begin with the screening of Not As I Thought by Step Up Stop Slavery, a short film following a man trapped in labour trafficking abroad, followed by a discussion with Katerina Stephanou and Irene Che on labour exploitation and prevention efforts in Cyprus. The second part will present excerpts from the AfroGreeks, a long-term community art project by the Døcumatism collective, featuring video portraits, performances, and community participation that give voice to Greeks of African origin in Athens, followed by a discussion with Grace Nwoke and John Mykel Ergar, aka Choco No End, on the stories, experiences, and creative process behind the project. 📅 Date: 27 March 2026 🕙 Time: 18:00 - 20:00 📍 Location: University of Nicosia, Unesco Amphitheatre (Europa Building) 🔗 RSVP (also available in our bio): https://forms.gle/67Z25dyxis41LojM7 ⬇️⬇️⬇️
