Meet Alicia Starks, the creative force behind The Alluring Graze, a charcuterie business bringing beautifully styled grazing tables and mini-bites to Beverly/Morgan Park. Self-taught and inspired by her father, a chef who taught her to appreciate fresh ingredients and the art of food, Starks has spent the past five years growing her business with the support of the community. Right now, The Alluring Graze is a side hustle as Starks supports her 10-year-old twins, but she hopes to make it her full-time story by opening a brick-and-mortar shop right here in Beverly/Morgan Park. “I have hopes, dreams, prayers, and I hope they are answered to be able to open my own store, and I want to open it right here, because this is where I get so much support, so much love and it’s home.” Planning an event or hosting some friends? Everyone loves a charcuterie board 😉 Follow Alicia’s dream at @thealluringgraze Learn more about Alicia and The Alluring Graze in The Villager, August edition, or online at BAPA.org.

Women's History Month 2026 was everything. But the cherry on top was this SHE-E-O Fireside Chat curated by my business neighbor and fellow Aries Sister Raven White @honeyandhuebookstore. She pulled some goats in the room to answer questions, discuss experiences, losses, success and so much more. The networking and collaboration was truly black girl magic and gems were definitely dropped. I'm going to sum this up like so: ✔Collaboration over competition ✔ Network scaling ✔ Dr Jackie Jackson (8 Kilwins locations, a Fatburger & a lady Cavalier 😉) ✔ Tiffany from Soul Food lounge ✔ Grant writers ✔ Therapists ✔ @lovecorkscrew ✔ Charcuterie by @thealluringgraze ✔ Bomb sandwiches (black women owned) ✔ Million Dollar Grant recipients ✔ Multiple Authors ✔ Sundance the tightest female DJ ✔ Yoga instructors And her tshirt says it all (mic drop) #womenownedbusiness #womenledbusiness #womenshistorymonth #honeyandhuebookstore

🎥 🎬 I started LADIES NIGHT as another level or example of self-care. Stepping away from every day life and taking a moment for yourself is essential. A moment to unwind, a moment away from the kids, a moment to celebrate life and each other. The regular feedback I'm getting from multiple ladies is "Thank You, I needed that!!" And for me, that means MISSION ACCOMPLISHED 🥰 💯 Save the date~December 13th #411immunitea #LADIES #NIGHT #CHARCUTERIE #FOODART #WINE #WINEDOWN #selfcare
