Life lately at The Deakins Table 🤎🍂

I’ve been a little quiet on here, but behind the scenes have been anything but that!

The past 2 weeks have been filled with early mornings, late nights, lots of baking, even more learning, and watching this little dream continue to grow. Seeing you all stop by the farm stand, support this small business, and share our treats with your families has meant the world! 👩🏻‍🍳🫶🏼

The stand won’t be up this weekend, but for a good reason… we’ve been asked to do our very first POP-UP! 🎉

The church that helped inspire the heart behind this small business, @thealtarfellowship, is turning 7!! They’ve planned a weekend full of fun, including a celebration at Paradise Acres Farm in Boones Creek on Saturday the 24th from 10–2!

We are SO excited to be a small part of this celebration and bring along some of your favorite homemade treats!

Getting to celebrate with the church family that helped inspire The Deakins Table makes this even more special. Community, fellowship, and gathering around the table are at the heart of why we started. 🤍

We’d love to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones!

The range of a Wednesday night at YTH is actually unmatched😂

We have fun. We get loud. We get a little chaotic. And then we lock in.. because there’s room for both here🙌🏻

See you Wednesdays - we will save you a seat!

BIG NEWS FOR THE NELSON FAMILY!!!

We are moving to Tennessee! After much prayer and God’s guidance, the LORD has called Bailey and I to The Altar Fellowship in Johnson City, TN! I accepted a position on staff at the Altar as a worship leader and Bailey has accepted a job as a Pre-Op/PACU Nurse in the area! I will also be joining The Altar Music that writes and produces music for the church! And even more, we will be in close proximity with my music producer, which means new music is on the way soon!!!! We are so thankful for the LORD’s guidance to lead us to The Altar Fellowship and to be under the leadership of Pastor Mattie Montgomery.

There are so many emotions that go into this. We are of course so excited to see what the LORD has in store in this new season of our life. But we are also very sad to be leaving an amazing community of family and friends. We have been blessed beyond measure to minister to the people of IBC and the Hannibal community for the past 5 years. We will greatly miss our people. Our gratitude for IBC and the Pastoral leadership is beyond words.

If you would like to see us before we leave, there will be a reception to celebrate Bailey and I at Immanuel Baptist Church in Hannibal on October 7th at 5:30pm. And our last Sunday at IBC will be October 11th.

Please be praying for us as we make this move. We genuinely believe the LORD is all over it and are thanking Him for His guidance! I can’t wait to share the story of our journey to the Altar someday! We love you all!

“Kids these days…”

Yeah.. we see them👀

We get to watch our students grow in their faith, fall more in love with Jesus, ask the hard questions, worship with their whole hearts, and choose to follow Him in their everyday lives.

And here’s the thing….

Their faith isn’t smaller because they’re young.

Their prayers move us.
Their hunger for Jesus challenges us.
Their joy reminds us.
Their boldness encourages us.

We’re not just raising up the next generation… we’re being encouraged by them right now!

So grateful we get a front-row seat to watch God move in the lives of these students🥹

“Kids” these days?…
Yeah… we’re pretty grateful for them🫶

The friends who make you laugh until your stomach hurts, pray with you when life gets heavy, challenge you to grow, and remind you who you are in Jesus✨

We weren’t made to do this alone!

Find your people. Bring your people. Build a community.

See you Wednesday.. we will save you a seat🫶

Being strong doesn’t mean being loud, cruel, or full of yourself.

Stand up for what’s right. Show mercy when it’s deserved. Stay humble enough to know you still have work to do.

Train hard. Protect your people. Keep your heart right.

Act justly. Love mercy. Walk humbly.
