Full Guide Dogs commercial with Barry and Joanna♥️
Barry played a female dog btw 😅🤭

Guide Dogs released their TV ad. This commercial was filmed back in July 2026 in multiple locations in London. My Cairn Terrier Barry the Brave was invited as a backup dog, but was chosen on a day to replace another terrier.

Barry played a small role of a companion dog with actress Joanna John [sorry, can’t seem find her IG]. @guidedogsuk

Thank you @stinkfilms and @fold7 for choosing Barry on a day. The vibe on set was fantastic - the crew was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We both enjoyed working with you and being on set, and we hope our paths will cross again in the future ♥️

Friends, we want to share this achievement with you - as the win for one Cairn is the win for the whole community. And we are happy to play our small part for Cairns to be more recognisable again.

Cairn Terriers are lovely dogs and deserve to appear on TV more often due to their classic terrier look and friendly personality. They learn new tricks fast, ready to work long hours, and they are friendly with pets and children (Barry completed these trainings and is well socialised).

Many thanks to @theanimaltalent for inviting us to this TV commercial.

Many thanks to @olive_the_cairn for spotting Cairn Terrier on a TV 📺

Oh my goodness!!!! Mousey has the most amazing news to share! She got scouted on Instagram and asked to apply to the @theanimaltalent agency and so we sent photos and videos. Today we heard that she’s been accepted and she’s on their website! We understand that she may never get any work but we are just so ridiculously proud of her. She’s just the sweetest girl and so clever and we are just so blessed to have her (and our wonderful Koko of course!) in our lives. I honestly believe Mouse was sent into my life at a time when I felt like I had no purpose in life. Having just had to medically retire from a job I loved. She makes us smile every day and, through her and Instagram I have made some of the most caring and amazing friends anyone could ever wish for. Posting on Mouse’s page and enjoying all the other posts has given me a purpose and so much happiness. Just thank you to every single one of her followers and friends who have made all this possible for us. I cannot even tell you how much it means to us.

Recently Barry was invited for a small role in commercial filming for Guide Dogs, made by @fold7 agency and @stinkfilms studio.

It was his first ever commercial filming 🎥

Barry was invited as a backup dog by @theanimaltalent but was put forward on a day as a main character for this role.

We filmed in London. Barry behaved well on set, made friends with the crew and actress Joanna John.

He had a small role:
1. Walk up and down the street with Joanna
2. Sit by her side in the living room
3. Let her put a leash on him and take him for a walk

He performed brilliantly! Barry received lots of compliments and enjoyed being on set with the crew.

We hope more work of this kind will keep coming our way.

Please do share this reel and let everyone know Barry is a little superstar ⭐️
