“Laughter is the best medicine.” I remember reading this in “Reader’s Digest,” but this originates from Proverbs 17:22 “A cheerful heart is like medicine.” Laughter does lighten the mood, reduces stress and increases endorphins. It sure helped me get through this little branding session 😂. Thanks @kathyweddings for making me laugh through this session.

6 days until baby. And yes I made an appearance at an install today.

Small business owners don’t get maternity leave, they either just stop working and don’t get paid, they hope they’ve bankrolled enough money to coast through it, or, in my case, they just keep working and lean heavily on their team to carry them through when they absolutely can’t. And I’m super confident they will. Wait til you see what they put together today alone.

Please keep us in mind for all of your celebrations, big and small—we are keeping it moving full steam ahead. And we are also hiring so if you know anyone who wants to party with us, please send them my way.

So we did a little challenge to show you what a day inside AND CREATIVE actually looks like through hourly photos (9am - 9pm) 📸

We have been working towards a behind the scenes rebranding — Introducing AND CREATIVE. The umbrella for the creative world we have built together, including @artfarmannapolis , @andcreativegallery, @theannapolisstudio, @annapolisartsweek aka Bounce! Annapolis, @and_marketplace, and all the collaborations, events, and “wait…what if we did this?” ideas in between.

Anyway, here’s a day in the life of @sugar_farm AND @darinmichelle ♥️

What if promoting your business felt less like advertising… and more like being part of something real? 💙

We asked, and you answered at our first Sponsor Preview Night for women-serving businesses! It was amazing meeting so many local entrepreneurs and sharing the new ways we’re offering sponsorship opportunities inside Real BFFs.

Thanks for sharing your business journey with us! We can’t wait to partner with some of you and introduce our BFFs to the exciting things you’re building. 💙

If you missed the event but want to get involved, check out the link in our story or send us a DM!

Happy Mother’s Day, mamas 🤍

Motherhood is such a wild mix of emotions. It’s the sweetest joy and the deepest exhaustion all at once.

The giggles, the snuggles, the pride you feel watching your kids grow… mixed with the worry, the overstimulation, and the realization that everyone was right — it really does go by so fast.

Lately I’ve been telling my husband that this feels like such a magical season for us. Big kids are SO fun — making us laugh, making us proud, and still looking for me in the dugout and wanting bedtime snuggles. And then there’s our tiny babe learning new things every day with the sweetest little smiles. But also…there’s the fears of “are we making the right choice?” and trusting our boys as we give them more freedom, and wondering when I might get a good night’s sleep.

It’s beautiful and exhausting and scary all at the same time. I’m holding space for both.

To all the mamas in whatever season you’re in — I hope you can see the beauty in it, and in yourself too 🤍
