As the summer comes to a close, I had to reminisce on my summer with my niece Malani💕.There are so many things in life I wish I had done differently, gotten right, or been better at. But if there’s one thing I know I’ve gotten right, it’s being her Titi❤️.It’s title and a role I take seriously. The type of aunt I am, I never experienced🥹.

Having Malani with me this summer has been one of the most meaningful and purposeful parts of my life( Summer with the Sicards, weekly fried Oreos🤦🏽‍♀️🤣,girl talks, sleepovers, her cousins Elyssa and Elina💕💕,etc,.).
I hope that as she grows, she’ll always be able to look back and remember not just the things we did, but how deeply and how hard I’ve loved her.

As I continue my healing process, she is what I needed. And someday, when someone asks Lani about her Titi,I hope she smiles and says, “She loved me. She was there for me. She made me feel safe, special, she protected me, guided me and made me feel important.”

I may not have been blessed with children of my own,but being Malani’s Titi is one of the greatest gifts life has ever given me. And no matter how old she gets, there will always be a place for her with me.I never knew or felt unconditional until God blessed me with Lani- my “naughter💕. She is my reason, my why I fight to live💕💕. #auntie #auntieduties #auntieandniece #healingjourney #unconditionallove

To my Tiny Human,

E.A.B you are growing up so fast. You were just born, now look at you. I have loved watching you grow. From learning how to walk and talk. To going to museums, zoos, SeaWorld, watching your face light up at everything you think is cool. To conquering fears at the pool and waterparks. Screamin crazy at @uhcougarfb @uhcougarmbk games. To our inside jokes. Singing everything from Lion King all the way to Wipe Me Down Remix. You are going to be and do amazing this year! Pre-K here we come!

I got you from infinity and beyond.
I love you 3000 and I know you love me 6-7.

TT

PS you still have those same eyes when you get sleepy. 🥰😍🥰😍

From sleepovers, Nerf wars, and sharing our love for ice cream, to 3 hour video calls, virtually reffing races and fitness competitions....I absolutely love the role of being "Auntie Domo". There's not much I wouldn't do for these munchkins. Being an auntie is a joy and privilege I don't take lightly!

Happy aunties and uncles day to all the wonderful aunties and uncles out there. Especially mine! 🥰
