🔥 Master the Open Stance Backhand Like the Pros! 🎾

The open stance backhand isn’t just a defensive shot anymore, it’s one of the most effective ways to absorb pace, recover faster, and stay in control of the rally.

Here are 4 keys to executing it like the pros:

1. Load the outside leg. Sink into your outside leg to create a strong, stable base and generate power from the ground up.

2. Turn your shoulders early. Prepare as soon as you recognize the ball so your upper body is loaded before contact.

3. Rotate through the shot. Drive with your hips and core while allowing your chest to rotate toward the target. Let the legs and body create the power, not just the arms.

4. Recover immediately. Stay balanced after contact and use your outside leg to push back toward the center, ready for the next ball.

The best players don’t always have time to step into every backhand. They know when to trust the open stance and use it to stay aggressive under pressure.

🎯 Save this for your next practice, tag a player who needs this tip, and follow for more modern tennis coaching content!

📸 From our high school days competing against each other to crossing paths at college tournaments, it’s amazing to see where life has brought us.

It was great stopping by Kash’s academy programme; the Backhand Factory. Seeing how he has transformed this community court and developed these juniors, taking them from the local level to representing Jamaica and finding opportunities overseas, is nothing short of inspiring.

We have always shared the same vision: giving these kids the tools to compete internationally and creating the pathways we once walked ourselves.

Getting on court with his players was a blast and their progress is real. Keep building, Kash! We will have those extra courts soon enough. 👊📈

🇯🇲🎾 “Stir response when duty calls.” 🎾🇯🇲

Earlier this year, members of the Campion Tennis Society received the honour of being called up to represent Team Jamaica in 2026.

This powerful line from our National Anthem reminds us of the responsibility that comes with wearing the black, green, and gold. When the nation calls, we answer with commitment, discipline, and pride.

Congratulations to our players who have earned the opportunity to represent Jamaica on the national stage. Your dedication on the court continues to inspire the Campion tennis community.

Serve with pride. Compete for Jamaica. 🇯🇲

✨Tsehai’s Grit on Day 1 at Little Mo International✨

Today was a true testament to Tsehai’s heart, resilience, and warrior spirit on the court. After a tough loss in her opening match, she refused to back down. Instead of letting disappointment win, she returned for her second match with focus, fire, and unbelievable determination.

In a marathon battle that stretched 3 hours and 45 minutes, Tsehai fought point by point, rally after rally, pushing herself to the very end. She took the first set 7–5, held firm through a challenging second set 4–6, and then dug deeper than ever in a nail-biting tiebreak, closing it out 10–8.

It was courage. It was fight. It was heart.
And it was beautiful tennis.

We are so proud of how she represented herself and Jamaica today. 🇯🇲💛💚🖤
On to Day 2 with confidence and gratitude!
