I love birthdays, especially mine, as vain as that sounds. I make no bones about it, too old for that now! I enjoy the attention unabashedly (even though I have my awkward moments in it). I eat lots of cake and I happily accept gifts.

For the last few years, I would spend my birthday either with a quiet dinner with my partner or just get out of the city and sit in silence. This year I happened to be in a room with a few loved ones and cut cake and eat yummy food (for days!).

Of course there were silent prayers and tons of gratitude. Did I mention cake? Lots of cake courtesy @thebakingnat . Highly recommend ♥️
