October updates, community appreciation, and a little mental health check-in. 💜

Life lately has been beautiful, challenging, exhausting, exciting, and quite ridiculous.

With October bringing conversations around mental health and Movember approaching, I want to show some appreciation for my community!

The past few months have brought uncertainty, financial stress, and self-doubt, along with the challenge of learning to ask for support.

But there’s also been so much to celebrate: face time with mentors, working with young artists, a welcoming salon team, old and new friendships, yoga in the park, a wonderful partner, my dogs, live music, laughter, and plenty of awkward dancing.

I’ve had to practice reminding myself that strength doesn’t mean carrying everything alone.

As “men,” we’re often conditioned to be self-sufficient and struggle quietly. But vulnerability isn’t weakness, and asking for support doesn’t make us any less capable.

Mental health isn’t just about surviving difficult days; it’s also about making room for joy, connection, and belonging.

To everyone who’s shared advice, a meal, an adventure, a dance, or simply checked in:

Thank you. You matter more than you know. 🖤
