January you were a million days long but equally just what we needed. “Supposedly” the greyest month of the whole year, yet you were the wholesome, slow paced, reset we never knew we needed.

It started from a perfect getaway to de-cluttering my home and salon space, it’s been introducing new routines to the kids, bedtimes, outdoor activities, finally getting round to my tax return and making room for some much needed time for myself. I LOVE being a mum. It’s the best thing to happen to me by far, but before I became a mum. My business was my baby, and I put every piece of energy, passion and time I had into it. As I so badly wanted it to succeed. It has taken a back seat and my future visions for my business had to paused while our family was growing. However 2026 is the year where I’m feeling a little shift, with both the girls now in Nursery, I can have and create a better balance for them, for my business and myself. So this is a reminder for all us hard working mamas out there to enjoy the slower paced days too, but also routine and structure can be our best friend to help create little pockets of valuable time.
* Book yourself some selfcare time.
* Create a vision board for the year.
* Journal.
* Eat nourishing foods.
* Practice gratitude.
* Connect with friends.
* Exercise regularly.
* Get lost in family time.
* Get creative.
* Read.
* Listen to podcasts.
* Light a candle and enjoy some quiet time.
* Spend more time outdoors.

Just remember YOU are the centre of your world. You are the glue that holds it all together. So loving yourself and finding time for what you need is important too. We don’t always have to come last mama’s!
