Does she attend her stepfather’s funeral the next day or stay behind? THE SPACE BETWEEN: SOME INTERGENERATIONAL SHARING The Space Between: Some Intergenerational Sharing is a collage of short plays, monologues, and music reflecting on the space between generations, and how to bridge the gaps. The Bechdel Group's Fall Play Workshop Join The Bechdel Group for an evening of reading 30 minute sections of two separate plays and join in the discussion that follows. The two shows we are visiting this month are: Laura Thoma's Writer's Block and Libby Heily's Literary Girls Obsessed with Death The Séance and Other Eerie Things The Best Damn Spooky Magic show. THIS WEEK @ THE TANK: Rough Trade A Tank Core Production March 17 - April 8, 2023 Living together was going just great for gay besties Bunting and Finch: balancing ruthless day jobs with aspiring visual arts careers, while still finding time to blackout at Hardware after one too many vodka sodas. But when Finch starts dating a wealthy pharma daddy finance bro, the intertwining web of Gay New York proves just how toxic and self destructive it can be. Rough Trade is a vicious comedy about classism, chosen family, and holding on (too) tightly to the ones you love. Guerilla 9 friends are meeting together for the first time in two years since the pandemic. During their reunion, secrets arise to tear their whole group apart. Little Fish Presents: The Tender Tank A night of tender, experimental, improvisational, and absurdly authentic performances from comedians, artists and writers in NYC, hosted by Little Fish (performers/storytellers Michelle Drozdick and Annie-Sage Whitehurst). The Woman In The Waves The Woman in the Waves is a play which follows SHE, a gender and sexuality columnist, as she tries to build and navigate a relationship with HE. As the two characters grow together throughout the relationship, they grapple with what it means to trust, be vulnerable, love, and cope with trauma as a couple in the modern world. Improvised Columbo A fresh spin on a classic! Welcome to Improvised Columbo, a comedy show where seasoned performers make up an entire episode of Columbo on the spot. Murder! Cover-Ups! Commercial Breaks! And a working class detective doing his damndest! The Cheep Show Robert Price (the banjo) and Levi Penley (the other one) of The Cheep Show could charm the socks off a crafty puppeteer's hands. A “baked fresh with love” theme song, more comedy than a conductor could shake a stick at, and a delightful spread of special guests. March 2023 Bechdel Group Workshop Readings Join The Bechdel Group for an evening of reading 30 minute sections of two different plays and join in the discussion that follows. The two shows we are visiting this month are Lisa Feriend's Abort the Mission and Arlene Hutton's The Blood of The Lamb.
