Time to go inwards 🌑

We’re now moving through the descending phase of the solar cycle — a natural time for turning inwards, self-care, self-exploration and deeper shadow work.

Yet this is also the season when the festivities begin to ramp up, which can feel at odds with the body’s natural desire to slow down, nest and rest.

Intentionally making space to go inwards gives us time to check in, reflect, receive insights and recharge away from the everyday pressures, demands and responsibilities.

When we honour this need for inward time, we can release some of the tension that comes from constantly pushing outwards — and return feeling more grounded, connected and spacious.

🌿 Here are two offerings to help you tune into the energies of this time of year, and feel held as you drop inwards:

🌑 Samhain Yoga, Soundbath & Tea Ceremony
Sun 8 Nov | 6-8.30pm
St George Community Centre

Gather with us at the Dark Moon for a journey into the depths — a time to harvest what this cycle has brought, connect with our ancestors and vision into what is emerging as the veil between worlds is said to be thin.

❄️ Winter Solstice Retreat & Restore
Sat 12 Dec | 2.30pm-5pm
@thebeehivebs5

A nourishing circle to gently release, recharge and rest, creating space to listen inwards and take what you need to thrive through the darkest phase of the cycle.

✨ If you’re feeling the call to slow down, turn inwards and create some intentional space for yourself, I’d love for you to join us.

Spaces for both offerings are limited & note there is a pay what you wish option for both. Book your place to make sure you have this time held for you.

Don’t wait until you’re already depleted to give yourself the space you need.

Come and be held, soften, restore and reconnect.

Offerings hosted by Ailie @Yoga_Rewild & Sofia @loveallwaysyoga

It’s nearly that time of year again! 🎃

Back for its third year, welcoming you beautiful souls to gather for collective rest & ritual, to honour the crossing of the threshold from Autumn to Winter.

This one is always such a special space to hold, and you can join in person or online.

Samhain is a time to connect to the liminal, the in-between spaces as the veil thins between this earthly realm and the spirit realm. Samhain is also QUEER as f*@k - home to the unseen, mystical, the underworld. A time to connect to our ancestors and our dreams & visions beyond the day-to-day.

It is a potent time to practice yoga nidra, which is itself a liminal space between an awakened and sleeping state, which has the potential to reawaken your innate capacity for healing, connection and creativity. A powerful medicine both individually and collectively in these times of collapse and crisis.

You can also just come along for a nap.

This forms part of my wider offerings over the year where, in the space between each seasonal Ritual + Practice course, I hold events to honour the four cross-quarter points: Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane and Lammas.

I’d love to see you there, booking links in bio!

🌿 Hello fellow Yoga Rewilders,

I’m looking forward to welcoming you back tomorrow for our first Rewild & Flow with soundbath of the season. 💚

🌿 6–7.15pm | @thebeehivebs5

We’re returning at a beautiful threshold in both the lunar and solar cycles. As we begin to transition from summer into autumn, we’re also moving through the third quarter of the moon — a phase that mirrors the energy of the Autumn Equinox: harvesting, releasing and turning inward.

This is a time to absorb and gather the energy of summer, while gradually slowing down, listening inwardly and stepping closer towards the darker half of the year. 🍂🌙

Returning after a break — or restarting a practice — can sometimes bring up familiar thoughts and fears: Am I still as strong? Am I as fit or flexible as I was? Have I lost my progress?

Rather than trying to push those thoughts away, we can practise transmuting them. I’ve been experimenting with simply thanking my inner critic for its concerns — recognising that, underneath the worry, is a reminder of why I practise yoga in the first place: to listen, connect, calm my mind and come home to myself. 🌿

If you have any new aches, pains, injuries or health considerations, please feel free to drop me a message or have a chat with me before the practice. It really helps me to know where you’re at so I can support you.

As always, there will be plenty of options throughout the practice, so you can tune in, listen to your body and tailor the practice to what you need on the day.

Looking forward to moving, breathing and rewilding with you. 🌿

Side note:

Made these little nature mandalas with my kids in the woods yesterday. 🌿🍂

I love how they seem to capture the seasonal shift we’re moving through — the last bright, abundant energy of summer beginning to soften into the earthy, grounding tones of autumn.

A little reminder that nature doesn’t rush the transition. It simply changes, releases and becomes something new. 🤎

Much love,

Ailie x

Well hello there 👋

My two feet have just about landed back in Bristol….the rest of me is slowly catching up!

More to share soon but for now, here is an image with me and mugwort whilst walking along the Cornish coast this summer. My favourite plant which often finds its way onto altars, tea and smoke sticks this time of year.

Looking forward to some Autumnal grounding with you lovely lot this September. Slide right to see my weekly schedule and events.

Not shown here is our monthly LGBTQIA+ Meet Up & Move @elevate.studio and Trans+ Rest Day Retreat which is sold out with a big old waiting list! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

All links in my bio. Big love to you all ❤️

Thank you for the gorgeous images @charleywilliamsphoto @kindom.festival

Would you throw this away?

I ask myself the same question almost every day… and the answer is always NO.

Instead, I ask myself:

“What can I create with this tiny piece of leftover fabric?”

And sometimes, a tiny scrap becomes something beautiful. ❤️

Like this embroidered necklace.

Made by me, from fabric that could have been thrown away. https://artfromleftovers.etsy.com #HandmadeJewellery

🌱 The seasons are shifting. Is it time to reconnect with your own rhythm? 🌱

I hope you’ve had a beautiful summer. I’m so looking forward to restarting classes and welcoming you back to the mat next week from 2nd Sept. 💚

I’m offering during term time:
🌿 Rewild & Flow: Wednesdays 6-7.15pm @thebeehivebs5 & Fridays 11.45-12.45 at St George Community Centre.
🌿 Yoga Rewild online: Thursdays 10-11am

To ease you back into your practice and kick-start your yoga rhythm, I’m offering half-price monthly passes for the next two weeks.✨

Your pass starts from your first class and runs for 4 weeks, giving you the option to attend up to 12 classes for just £22.

A gentle invitation to move, breathe, reconnect and rewild as we transition back into our routines. 🌿

Ready to return to your practice?
Book your monthly pass via the link in my bio.

And if you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer festivals… 🌞✨

I’m teaching a Celtic Yoga Sound Journey at @bristolyogafestival next weekend (4th-6th Sept), followed by a Yoga Rewild practice at @sacredwildwellbeing festival (12th-13th Sept).

There are still tickets available for both if you fancy one last dose of festival magic before settling into autumn. 🌿

Looking forward to reconnecting on the mat!

Love

Ailie 💚

For those that know me I am not one to give up easily and have run four markets so far but other than increasing footfall it has sadly gone the other way. This combined with a change in personal circumstances and also the start of another market starting in St George’s park has led me to put all future markets at the beehive on hold. Thanks to all those that were part of this and came along and supported the market and please do support the new ventures that St George bowls and social club and starting as without support from the local community these can be really difficult if they don’t break even. We will continue with our other markets in fishponds @fishpondscommunitymarkets and also the alternative night markets in turners in fishponds with the new @fishpondscommunityshop as well!
