Oct 8th - “Keeping in the Shadows” Surf Movie
Keeping in the Shadows is a visually rich surf odyssey, moving between moody, dramatic landscapes and glowing, dream-like sunset sessions. Between travel chaos, early mornings, and long days in the water, the film opens up space for intimate, unscripted conversations, moments of humor, reflection, and honesty that give each section its own pulse and personality.

Join professional snowboarder Kimmy Fasani, and long time Mammoth local and mountain employee, Laurey Carlson - both mothers, and breast cancer survivors - for an intimate evening of storytelling, film, and conversation in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Oct 15th - “The Brooks Range” Book Release
Meet the author, Claude Fiddler, for a presentation and discussion about his new book, “The Brooks Range.”

The Brooks Range: Journey, Life & Art in the Gwazhal presents 8o beautifully crafted photographs from large-format photographer and mountaineer Claude Fiddler. The photographs made during Brooks Range trips from 2004 to 2025. The photos are accompanied by essays from esteemed Alaska writers: Roman Dial, Caroline Van Hemert, Adeline Raboff, and Nancy Lord. The marriage of essays and photos make this book an exquisite piece of Arctic artwork and experience.

✨Outside the Lines: Presenting a New Community Conversation Series featuring speakers, films, and community connection.

✨First Event will take place October 10th, A Conversation on Breast Cancer, Motherhood, & Resilience

Join professional snowboarder Kimmy Fasani, and long time Mammoth local and mountain employee Laurey Carlson, both mothers and breast cancer survivors, for an intimate evening of storytelling, film, and conversation in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

We’ll screen two short films - Chasing Sunshine, and Kimmy’s short film Beautiful Flaws, followed by a candid conversation about breast cancer, motherhood, identity, resilience, and the power of vulnerability and community.

An evening about more than cancer—about finding strength in unexpected places, navigating change, and continuing to live fully through life’s most challenging chapters.

The 2026 Paint Mono County Plein Air Competition was a great success!

We had over 70 Artists participate by painting, attending workshops and packed the gallery for the Artist Reception. Thank you ALL for making this event a great success 🫶

New friends were made, a LOT of beautiful art was hung and four winners took home prizes; all the work was outstanding.

@chrisbenchetler’s Mountains of the Moon celebrates the beautiful collision of skiing, snowboarding, biking, climbing, surfing, and the creative energy that ties it all together. This stunning film was elevated by a live score from the @coffisbrothers, who had the whole room dancing through moments of mind-bending athleticism.

From Tahoe City to Denver, Salt Lake to Whistler, 1,200 of you showed up and together we raised over $12K for our nonprofit partners - @shejumps, @sosoutreach, @zeroceilingsociety, and @thebffoundation.

Huge shoutout to Chris, @arcteryx, @altamarbrands, The Coffis Brothers, the production crew, and the athletes who brought the vision (and Q&A) to life. Thanks to
everyone who came out to celebrate art in action.

Check Yourself is more than a message — it’s a reminder of the sacredness and fragility of life itself. Every time we take without giving back, we shorten the time we all have here. Every act of care — every tree planted, every truth honored — extends it.

We’ve always believed that what we build should protect the planet that holds us. In our first run, over 200,000 trees were planted. Those roots still stand for balance, for restoration, and for the promise that integrity gives life room to grow.

Celebrating this beautiful ✨🌎✨ today and everyday. Nature is my anchor to finding clarity, strength, and perseverance. Observing and sharing these special outdoor spaces with our kids has brought us all so much joy and healing. Even in the most challenging moments of life, nature has taught me that seasons change, all is temporary, and even in the harshest environments beauty can flourish and bloom.

This is one of the reasons why we started @thebffoundation, with a mission to help others reconnect to nature after experiencing hardship.
