THE SHOW HAS BEGUN!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Last week I had an amazing time with the Brooklyn Classical Guitar Society @thebkcgs, for my 2026 tour!

The Borogodó tour is a homage to the Brazilian guitar and a celebration of my album release & book of arrangements recently published by @productionsdoz . The concert was at the beautiful @christchurchcobblehill, in Brooklyn, New York City.

Thank you so much @thebkcgs for having me and host another event together. It was a great pleasure to be there! For everyone that attended the concert, thank you so much as well. I was more than happy to see your support and to share some music with you.

I also sold out my books, and being able to bring the Brazilian guitar to you makes me very happy!

Now getting ready for the next one. Until June I’ll by circulating in New York for my book tour & album release, so stay in tune for the next events.

Viva Villa-Lobos!!

Last week we celebrated Villa-Lobos birthday, and the national day of classical music in Brazil.

Born in 1887 in Rio de Janeiro, he was the catalyst of many ideas, transitioning between the late 19th century musical practices in Rio into what is known as the modernist movement. There is a Brazilian guitar before and after Villa-Lobos, and the understanding of the instrument changed considerably after him.

His Prelude n° 2 is my favorite of his solo guitar pieces, and you can listen to my recording on the streaming platforms of your preference. The composer brings the precision and the percussiveness of his environment in a well thought writing for the guitar, which does not sound neither exaggerate neither artificial. For me, he is a role model of how to use the capabilities of the instrument on the behalf of the music ideas.

If you want to hear Prelude n° 2 live, my next concert is on the 21st, in Brooklyn with @thebkcgs! Do not miss it!!
