This deserves its own post because this is one of the best cortados I’ve ever had! 😭

The Pistachio Cortado from @theblackbeanph is a 5/5! 💚☕️
• Love the nutty flavor from the pistachio milk
• Coffee was so strong and bold
• Texture of the coffee was creamy and silky
• Just the right hint of sweetness from the pistachio milk

Can’t wait to go back for this and try their food!

The Black Bean BF Homes (@theblackbeanph )
Operating Hours: 9AM - 10PM
Payment Options: Cash, Card, Bank Transfer

This was our second time at The Black Bean and it didn’t disappoint. Immediately after seating the staff provided water. Napansin nila na nainitan kami (to be honest may aircon and naka 17 naman pero mainit lang din talaga today) and they placed a fan to make us feel comfortable. May dala kaming toddler na mahilig maglakad and the people there didn’t judge us or show na naiirita sila sa kids, staff was really kind too. Food was good coffee was good too. Overall, babalik kami.

Yes may CR (with bidet)
Yes may parking (may extended parking na din sa opposite side ng street)
Yes attentive ang staff and they know how to “read the room” gets ba?
I really hope they can restore their leather sofa coz sayang naman. Medyo masakit din kung nakashorts ka pero minor issue lang yun.

Fueling is part of your training, too.

What and when you eat around your workouts can influence your energy, performance, and recovery. Giving your body the fuel it needs helps you get more out of your training and supports your progress over time.

Your fueling needs depend on your sport, training intensity, duration, and goals. There's no one-size-fits-all approach, but one thing is certain: your body needs fuel to do the work you ask of it.

Whether you run, lift, swim, play, or dance, nutrition is an important part of your training journey.

Swipe through to learn more, and save this post as a guide for your next workout!

Remember, fueling looks different for everyone. If you're working towards a specific fitness or performance goal, understanding your nutrition needs can help you make the most of your training.

📍The Black Bean (Makati)

What we ordered:
• Aburi Salmon-don (I chose to have a multigrain rice instead; super comfort food 🥹)
• Adobo flakes (changed to kimchi fried rice)
• Truffle Parmesan Fries
• Peach Passon Fruit Iced Tea
• Hi Love, xx (you have an option between iced long black or Spanish latte but as a black coffee girl siyempre long black tayo; the cream cheese foam on top really complements the long black taste)
• Carrot Cake

They also have a branch in BF Parañaque and I would also like to visit since parang mas maraming coffee options (and cakes??).

- TBB Burger Meal juicy meat and great fries
- earthy oat matcha latte is good
- so many sold out options in their menu that day :( wish its not like that all the time
- worth taking your bestie here 😋

larp til true!

i’ve always wondered where i’d see myself spending my early 20s, or the rest of it, and somehow the answer was always pretty obvious to me. it was always here.

so it’s still a little funny to catch myself pinching myself sometimes because i actually live here now. three months in, and i’m still very much taking it all in.

officially a makatizen :D
