I’m 69, retired nine years, and still learning one of life’s most important lessons.

Life isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment. It’s about making the most of the moments we’re given.

Take the trip. Go to the concert. Try something new. Spend time with people who matter. Make memories that will stay with you forever.

And you don’t have to travel halfway around the world to do it. Sometimes the smallest moments become our favorite memories.

Whether you’re 29, 49, or 69, don’t put your life on hold waiting for someday.

Life is happening right now. Live it with intention. Make the memories.

Because someday, today’s moments will be the stories you tell. ❤️living life with intention, making memories, life after retirement, retirement at 69, retired life, living life to the fullest, inspirational life lessons, solo retirement, enjoying life at any age, retirement lifestyle, life is short, making every moment count, travel memories, meaningful experiences, finding joy in everyday life, active retirement, women over 60, aging with purpose, never too old for adventure, retirement inspiration

Congratulations to Bethany Home! The Mesa rockers finished first in azcentral’s online poll asking people to vote on the best local music in Phoenix with 25.5% of the vote in a poll that featured 60 acts (barely scratching the surface of our vibrant local scene).
The 14 acts who got the most votes in that poll have moved on to the first of four rounds in a March Madness bracket-style poll, which also features the top two write-in candidates
Like that first poll, this is not behind a paywall. Anyone can vote and I’m sure the musicians involved would appreciate your support.
These are bands in the first round of the competition: Bethany Home (obviously), Dorsten, The Joeys, Practically People, Victoria Bigelow, The Black Moods, Sydney Sprague, Good Boy Daisy, Playboy Manbaby, Chloe Tang, PAO Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, Chris Bowen, AJJ, Mouse Powell, and write-in candidates Prince Mirth and The Rebel Set.
Congrats to all those bands.
There’s a link in my bio that will take you to the article where you can vote. It’s absolutely free, no paywall.

On this edition of “What Band Are You In?” we meet @severaldudes , a band of doctors and lawyers who have been making music together for nearly 40 years. They honor founding member Nick Stevens, who tragically passed away in a cycling accident in 2018, by donating proceeds from touring to cycling safety and advocacy. And coincidentally, they’re headed to Fiji to play with @theblackmoods , who we just interviewed the day before!
