as i danced these streets, feeling the most beautiful i’ve ever felt - the wind - the sound - the trail of luminance - the attention - i felt the red light district ghosts with me, their history hidden beneath the paved road. city progress entwined with shame. it came as no surprise to be twice told i could not dance here or there… escorted away, threatened, called too “extravagant” to be in public. and yet darlings, here we are, finding our way.

My favorite event of the season is back! Sunday is the Sugar House Vinyl Market 🎶 Good friends put this on at @hopkinsbrewingco, and they’ve curated an awesome space for music lovers and vinyl collectors. Dig crates from SLC’s OG selectors, live sets on wax and cold brews. Then the afterparty at @thegreenroom.bar is going to GO OFF. You won’t want to miss it 🖤

It’s definitely cuddle season, cuddle up to Night of the Living Dead screening on real 16mm film with @16mmfilmslut at @quickwitscomedylab or Housewives & drag at @driftloungeslc.

Thursday, October 15:
I’ll be Dancing Under the Stars with @slcpubliclands obviously keeping my eye on the weather, but stay tuned and I’ll post any updates that come up!

Friday, October 16: @mountaininmymind brings its ski film series on mental health to Lone Pine Gear Exchange.

Saturday, October 17: SLC’s first-ever Book Festival with @saltlakebookfestival @atthegateway , then catch @this.bandsucks before they go record their EP at @secondsummitcider
