I picked up my gift card from the bloc. I went and got gelato from BellaLina with my friend. The gelato was so good! #fyp #gelato #thebloc

BLOCtober at @theblocla did Halloween in DTLA right. 🎃

We trick-or-treated through the stores with our light up buckets, picked pumpkins at the pumpkin patch, got our faces painted, made crafts, and then watched The Nightmare Before Christmas outside under the stars. The highlight? Meeting Jack Skellington himself.

Thank you for having us, @theblocla.

Spooky season looks GOOD on you, LA! 🎃👻✨

Saturday’s BLOCtober at The Bloc was a frightfully fun time! We helped hundreds of little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and their grown-ups create their very own spooky (and seriously cute!) eye masks. 🎭🦇

We absolutely LOVE our events at The Bloc and are so grateful for another opportunity to partner with them to keep LA families creating, connecting, and crafting together! 🧡

9 FREE + affordable things to do with kids in LA this weekend! 🍂🎃

There’s SO much happening Oct. 17–18 — from free cultural festivals and Halloween fun to a $8 train ride at Griffith Park. 🚂

A few of my favorites this weekend:

🎨 Getty Family Festival — FREE
🎃 BLOCtober — FREE
🚂 Griffith Park I-Spy Halloween Train — $8 + tax
🌿 Howl-o-ween at El Dorado Nature Center — FREE
🎶 Taste of Soul — FREE
🍂 Fall Fest at RUNWAY — FREE admission
🎃 Original Farmers Market Fall Festival — FREE admission
🎭 Bob Baker Halloween Puppets — FREE
🪔 Diwali at Smorgasburg — FREE admission

Don’t forget the little costs: some events charge for parking, food or additional activities. I included parking tips where I could because FREE admission doesn’t always mean a completely free day. 😉

📌 SAVE this for the weekend + send it to another LA parent!

Which one are you going to?

Follow @YoMamaLosAngeles for more free, affordable + actually-worth-it things to do around LA. ❤️

Spend less without doing less.
