ViaArté 2026 - The Secret Rendezvous by Pierre-Charles Comte (1823–1895)

Another one in the books 😊 the tradition continues! I look forward to this every year, but I have to say this year I was very nervous. . . I have been experiencing some health issues and I’m not as physically fit as last year because of that. Despite that we persevere and I am so very happy that I did.

Winner of Best Technique - 46 hours to complete - started at 12pm Friday and finished 2am Monday! 💪🏻

There was a young gentleman that stayed up till 2am until I finished my piece because he wanted a photo of it finished 🫣 so kind and sweet

Thank you to my friends and family for supporting me always, I know this year was a bit more difficult and I appreciate your patience with me @hannivig @jessnmando2006 @sixloyds @kassandracamorlinga @jarrettmungcal

Over the weekend, my coworker and I had the honor of representing @bgckerncounty at @thebmoa Via Arte. I’m truly proud of how everything turned out, it was a wonderful experience. We felt inspired and grateful for the chance to share our work with the community. We got to represent everyone who is part of The Boys and Girls, with this beautiful mural piece by Carlos Almaraz “ Echo Park III”

Ain't No Sunshine — Bill Withers | Marlon Mackey on vocals 🎤☀️

Via Arte Bakersfield at The Marketplace — live, no filter, 100° in the shade and Marlon still sang it like this.

Bass + drums + keys under the blue tent. Marlon in the center brick.

That Bill Withers feeling hits different outdoors.

Meet Anitta Meza, the local artist bringing her creativity to life through glow-in-the-dark art at Bakersfield’s Via Arté Chalk Festival.

We loved supporting her work and seeing her unique vision come to life! ❤️

Tried to scale down this year for my mental health and ended up with some heat exhaustion symptoms instead. Irony. So glad that I recovered in time to pull yet another all nighter and get this piece done. Thank you to everyone for being so kind and encouraging this year, it means a lot.
