The Both/And — Logo Design / Clean Error Records Three variations in. This is the one. The project was simple on the surface - a wordmark for an artist whose entire identity lives at the intersection of two things at once. The name says it all: the both/and. Not either/or. Not a choice. Both. Simultaneously. The challenge wasn't finding a direction, it was finding the right level of tension. Too clean and it loses the edge. Too aggressive and it loses the concept. The third variation landed where it needed to: geometric and minimal, but with just enough forward momentum to feel like it belongs in the world this artist is building. The forward slash integrated into both/ isn't punctuation - it's a conditional operator. A logic symbol. It earns its place in the mark. Built to sit inside the lore. Built to last outside of it. REGISTRY ID: CE-284XE ▒▒░ALIAS: The Both/And ▒▒░SIGNAL TYPE: Modular Error Systems – UNRHYTHM1C_DRUM_FR4CTURΞ | N01SΞ_BUI1D_4RCH1TΞCTURΞ | MΞL0D1C_4TM0SPHΞRΞ_DR1FT | ERR0RCORE_DΞST4B1L1Z4T10N ▒▒░STATUS: ACTIVE ▒▒░ERROR RATE: 8.9% ▒▒░NETWORK: @thebothand ---------------- ▒▒░BIO: Long-term signal engaged in modular and error-driven production systems. Developed a refined approach to unstructured rhythm, raw drum articulation, and noise-based composition. Blends chaotic percussive fragmentation with controlled melodic atmospheres. Strong alignment with early IDM frameworks - preserving legacy influence while expanding into errorcore and non-linear signal structures. ▒▒░PERSONAL DATA: NEUTRAL // PRIVATE ▒▒░REFRACTANT STATUS: Archive keeper operating within and beyond NullVein city limits. Maintains and trades sampler data across sectors, including unstable and non-looping fragments. Functions as a quiet systems caretaker: processing corrupted rhythmic data, restoring unusable glitch patterns, and redistributing them into functional error states. Provides stabilization and recovery support to other refractants when signal structures fail. ▒▒░FUN FACT: Resident signal on @rough.radio - an independent community broadcast node supporting local and global collaboration across experimental systems. ▒▒░ANOMALY: Non-looping rhythmic fragments consistently reorganize into usable structures. Chaotic drum patterns retain coherence without fixed tempo alignment. ▒▒░SYSTEM NOTE: Acknowledgment to all artists within the system. We continue to showcase and honor the Error Musicians behind the signal. YEAR OF ERROR // ACTIVE ░░░L0VΞ_YOUR_ΞRR0R++

**Amplitude Errors: when pressure changes. Too loud. Too soft. Dynamic imbalance reshapes the structure. **Temporal Errors: when timing shifts. Micro-delays, drift, misalignment. Rhythm bends. **Resolution Errors: when clarity breaks down. Bit depth, aliasing, detail loss. Texture replaces polish. Not mistakes. Behaviors. Every glitch lives in one of these dimensions. In Clean Error, we don’t erase them. We design with them. ////Audio by: @thebothand #CleanError #ErrorSystematics #GlitchArt #SoundDesign #ExperimentalElectronic

I am delighted to confirm that the second 7” vinyl release on Short Cuts is imminent. For our next release, we are delighted to welcome to the label London-based producer The Both And (@thebothand) Their name hints at dichotomy, and “we have this”/“they have that” is also a play on that. Musically, it starts from familiar programmable elements and systems but then pushes hard at the edges of these, via live intervention, in an attempt to move away from the familiar and overload those systems. The result frequently wrong-foots the listener even as they think they’ve got a handle on what they’re hearing. Once again, this will be a super limited lathe cut by Ben Soundhog @plastidisc on black vinyl, housed in a chunky, full colour sleeve with gloss laminate finish. “We Have This” is released this coming Wednesday, 3rd December. Remember to follow Short Cuts on Bandcamp in order to be notified when it drops. Link in bio. #shortcuts #lathecutvinyl #vinyl #thebothand Front cover of the 7” sleeve.
