POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This weekend was more than just a retreat. It was an opportunity to step outside our comfort zones, face our fears, challenge ourselves, and most importantly, grow closer to God.

From the activities that pushed us beyond our limits to the powerful messages delivered by Pastor Junior and Pastor Scott, every moment had a purpose. @thebridge.ch

There’s something powerful about being surrounded by godly men who share the same desire to grow in their faith, strengthen their relationship with Jesus, and become better men.

The lessons learned, the brotherhood strengthened, the relationships built, and the memories created are things I’ll carry with me for a lifetime.

I’m grateful I got to experience this weekend alongside my brothers. We came to grow individually, but we left stronger together.

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. — Proverbs 27:17

Already looking forward to making this an annual tradition. Until next year 🙏

This year at camp I was tempted to do other things and not even attempt the challenge.

The last three years I came up short of victory.

As I was chatting with my buddy Andy, I talked him into doing it with me.

My intent was to encourage and support him through it because he has never done it.

I didn’t have any expectations of winning.

Just compete, encourage my teammate, and have fun.

As we progressed in the challenge (wood chop, hand saw, axe throwing, and wood toss) we ended up getting top 2 which placed us in the championship.

With an even playing field for the top 2, we ended up winning the whole thing.

Winning was awesome because I have been trying this challenge for 3 years…

But… The REAL WIN was seeing my brother push through and do something new he didn’t think he could accomplish.

It was a lesson I am grateful that I unexpectedly learned.

Many times in my life I aim for the victory to feel accomplished and be honored.

As I strive for achievement, I realize the most fulfilling wins are not the ones I am doing by myself or just getting first place.

They are the ones with others. Aiming to encourage, support, and team up. Seeing those around me accomplish by being by their side.

Philippians 2: 3-4 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

One week of Honduras with @_bridgestudents_

We made pilas for families, poured a new concrete floor for a local church, visited a public school in our community, and had the time of our lives!

Chicagoland, we’re coming.

This Sunday night, we’ll gather for one purpose: to lift high the name of Jesus.

In a world full of noise, distractions, and competing voices, we believe there is still power in the simple proclamation of the gospel. We believe Jesus still saves, restores, heals, and meets people where they are.

Whether you’ve followed Christ for years, you’re skeptical, or you’re just looking for hope, you’re welcome here.

Jesus be the name that gets all the glory.
