6 years ago today, I made a decision that would unimaginably change my life..

This time 6 years ago, I was a 12 year old who was lonely, confused, and secluded because of my own interest in things that people who are my age generally aren’t interested in. This page, initially called @aero_fans, provided a safe space for me to express myself the way I wanted to, and somehow, hundreds upon hundreds of people resonated with that, and for that, I’m eternally grateful.

Usually this post can become really sappy, but this year I think I’ll keep it light hearted, we shall see.

Well, hello!! This is me, I’m Katy Nathan. I am 18 about to turn 19 years old, I was born and raised in Central Connecticut, and I now reside in Central Pennsylvania studying Business Management and Performing Music. Aerosmith came into my life very early on as it helped me to overcome a speech condition I had as a kid. Since then, Ive been hooked. They were my intro tomusic, they were my introduction to speech, and they were my introduction to my longest lasting/most prominent hyperfixation; Joe F!n Perry.

I’ve always loved Joe. His swagger, his passion, his drive. He reminded me a lot of myself. The more I learned about him, the more I became engulfed in my passion for him and his music. Joe’s music felt like home to me during some extremely difficult times that had me face dë@th head on.

Joe and his music provided a safe haven that I don’t think I could ever repay him for.
Joe led me to meet my beautiful girlfriend @walkwithmejoe who I could not see my life without, as well as all of you. I read all of your comments, all of your DMs, everything. I see every one of you. I am so incredibly grateful for this platform, this page, this community. I don’t know what I’d do without it. Thank you for following me through the highs, lows, and everything in between. You have no idea how much it means to me.

Now, after 6 years of hard work, I have been invited to meet Joe again next month in my home state. 😭

This beauty is 21 today.
It’s felt like “the end of all things” for a few years now: brynaarstad has crawled through the trenches of three moves (the first in her senior year of high school), lost college years, lost friends and loved ones and lockdowns.
She has climbed the cliffs that have risen in our storm-tossed lives with bloodied and torn hands, and she has etched her name into the very stone that has tried to topple her.
The “end of all things”? I don’t think so.
Bryn Tyler Aarstad has somehow managed to show life itself how it should be lived-with perseverance, persistence, vulnerability, honesty, and love.
Here’s to 21 years, 21 New Beginnings, and then 21 more. It’s the top of the mountain for you next. I know the view from where you’re headed is going to be spectacular, the perspective grand, and the landscape endless-just like all of the possibilities that are chasing you down.
Happy Birthday, Gørl.
