🔭 Кичево добива нов телескоп! 🔭

Со големо задоволство објавуваме дека, преку соработката со @bresser_europe и @internationalspacealliance (ISA), огранокот на ISA во Кичево добива нов телескоп BRESSER Messier AR-102L/1350, кој ќе се користи за астрономска едукација, јавни набљудувања и идни активности за заедницата.

Телескопот е висококвалитетен ахроматски рефрактор, особено погоден за набљудување на Месечината, планетите и други светли небесни објекти. Неговите главни спецификации вклучуваат:

• Дијаметар на леќата: 102 mm
• Фокусна должина: 1.350 mm
• Фокусен однос: f/13.2
• Ахроматски рефракторски оптички дизајн
• Екваторијална монтажа EXOS-1
• 6x30 оптички пронаоѓач со нишан
• Hexafoc фокусер
• Адаптер за паметен телефон за небесна навигација
• Соларен филтер за соодветно набљудување на Сонцето
• Стабилен статив од нерѓосувачки челик

За првпат, телескопот ќе биде претставен пред заедницата вечерва на Крушино, за време на посебна активност за астрономско набљудување заедно со Извидничкиот одред „Мирко Милески“ @iomirkomileski

Моментот не можеше да биде посимболичен. Денес се случува и сончево затемнување, кое од С. Македонија е видливо како делумно затемнување, додека вечерва е и врвот на метеорскиот дожд Персеиди, што го прави овој ден навистина посебен за одбележување на астрономијата и сè поголемата поврзаност на Кичево со ноќното небо.

Волонтерката на Peace Corps North Macedonia, Кејт Фаган, и Наташа Спироска од International Space Alliance (ISA) – Кичево, со поддршка од меѓународните активности на членовите на ISA USA, Мартина Димоска и Боби Софронијоски, ќе го донесат и ќе работат со телескопот заедно со извидниците, овозможувајќи им на учесниците непосредно да ја доживеат астрономијата под ноќното небо.

Ова е уште еден важен чекор кон создавање повеќе можности за младите и пошироката заедница во Кичево да ги истражуваат науката, астрономијата и вселената. 🌌

Happy International Space Day from the FIRST Championship @first_official_ where I attended for the very first time! 🚀

The FIRST Championship is the culminating, annual international robotics event for students, typically held in April (often right here in Houston). Thousands of young innovators from all around the world come together to compete with robots they designed and built, celebrating STEM and everything it stands for. It brings together multiple FIRST programs, including the high school level FIRST Robotics Competition.

What I didn’t expect is just how expansive it feels, and how many floors it takes place across.
This isn’t just a competition. It feels like a full-scale sports championship. The energy, the cheering, the alliances, the strategy, the pride… it’s all there.

This is my first time experiencing it in person, and seeing teams from all over the world in one place here in Houston is so special to me. The diversity of ideas, approaches, and cultures shows up directly in the robots. Every single one feels unique in their own way!

It was also incredible to see colleagues from across NASA centers come together to represent at the NASA Machine Shop. That kind of cross-center presence really says something about how much this community matters.

And honestly, there was so much more to capture than just these few photos I just shared but I was meeting so many remarkable people! It’s mind-blowing how much creativity and uniqueness everyone brings.

A Saturday well spent.

Everyone who really knows me knows I was forever obsessed with muscle cars, specifically Mustangs 🐎. I wanted one since I was a little girl.

Well, I told you that March has been a magical month for me, because amongst other incredible firsts, I finally got my first ever Mustang. 🥹

The color is Candy Red and it’s manual. My first muscle dream car. 🍒

This yet another out of many full circle moments for me because this is the first Mustang I ever got a ride in and the first Mustang I ever drove myself, and I drove it for the first time in NASA Ames Research Center!

I didn’t know back then how much that moment would stick with me, or that I would come back to it like this one day. Now it's time to drive it at NASA Johnsons as well!

I am really grateful for the friendships that have been in my since forever, and for people who truly recognize the value I bring to the point where they feel confident passing on and selling me a car that has been their baby, so well kept, maintained, and genuinely loved. It means a lot that when they move forward and upgrade, they trust me with something that mattered to them at an important point in their life.

This for me is more than just getting a car. It’s the story behind how it came into my life and the people connected to it that passed it on. ♥️

And I don’t think I’ll ever stop being that kid who gets excited when a Mustang drives by. 😍🌹

Every child deserves to dream, no matter where they are born. 🧑‍🚀🚀

This week in my hometown Kicevo, kids built projects from recycled materials, and a little boy named Luka built a space suit and became an astronaut. I was told I was his inspiration, and I am incredibly honored and humbled to be both an inspiration and hopefully a door opener for the generations coming after us.

The reality is, Macedonia does not have a national space agency, space industry, or clear pathways into space. Many of us have to leave and build our careers abroad, and often opportunities depend on residency or citizenship, not merit alone.

So when a child like Luka from a small town believes he belongs among the stars, that means everything.

Where you are born should not decide how big you are allowed to dream. 🚀✨

I honestly forgot how much I missed cosplay! This was completely last-minute though!

I just moved to California and life has been a whirlwind: As a founder of @internationalspacealliance, a consultant in Human Spaceflight at @blue.abyss, publishing research, preparing for conferences, leading analog missions, and somehow keeping up with all the initiatives in between! 🚀

I had less than an hour to get ready, no time to test anything new (let alone build things!), and honestly didn’t think I had it in me to dress up and go out with so many deadlines looming.

But I did it anyway - and I’m so glad I did. I had a blast, met incredible people, and it was actually my first time cosplaying Morticia Addams. 🕯️ I hope I did her justice - even if the makeup could’ve been more precise 😅

I really miss having a creative outlet like this. It’s such a different kind of joy being able to shift focus from STEM/Space Exploration towards something creative I used to do so much of - and be just as fulfilling in its own way.

Now I’m curious 👀
