Fibre keeps our digestion humming, supports our heart, stabilises our blood sugar, and ensures that we have healthy, regular and drama-free trips to the bathroom. Yet, despite its superpower status, most of us are severely lacking fibre in our diet.

Statistically speaking, most people are lacking in fibre. Health experts recommend that women get around 25g of fibre each day, and men need about 38g. Yet the average person barely scrapes together 10 -15g on a good day. Unfortunately, modern diets are mostly ultra-processed foods, white flour, and grab-and-go snacks that have been stripped of all their natural roughage.

Fortunately, there are a few signs that we can watch out for to know if our gut is starving for fibre, as our body will usually send up a few rather annoying flares. If your bathroom routine is irregular, sluggish, or unpredictable, fibre is almost always the missing puzzle piece.

If you eat lunch and feel like you need an immediate nap because you’re so exhausted, or suddenly craving sugar, then low fibre indicates carbs are digesting too fast, which spikes and crashes your energy levels. As fibre slows down digestion, keeping us full and satisfied, without it we may crave snacks shortly after eating a full meal because our stomach thinks that it’s still empty.

Our gut microbiome consumes fiber to thrive, so when they’re starved, our digestion gets grumpy, which can drag down everything from our skin to our overall energy levels.

Designed for zero prep and maximum convenience, there is no mixing or stirring drinks, no clumps of powder or mess to clear up in the kitchen. You simply chew two gummies per day, which fit effortlessly into any fast-paced lifestyle.

Their gut-friendly formulation is expertly crafted to gently nourish the microbiome without sending your stomach into a chaotic, crampy panic. By helping to smooth out blood sugar spikes and promote long-lasting satiety, they’re a game-changer for avoiding early afternoon energy crashes and fatigue ✨

Who doesn't appreciate a little extra energy sometimes? ⚡🍬

I've been trying these Energy Bytes Daily Energy Gummies, and I really like the idea behind them!

They're designed as a convenient energy supplement, with added vitamins, and I love that they're so easy to carry around. Sometimes I just don't fancy having an energy drink, and gummies are definitely a format I find much easier to take.

Now, a little honesty about the taste! 😂

The initial flavour is actually quite nice, but the aftertaste isn't quite my favourite. Nothing a little sip of water afterwards can't sort out, though!

Overall, I really like the convenience, especially for those busy days when you've got a million things going on.

Would you try energy gummies instead of an energy drink? 👀

Our body has a brilliant, natural defence system, but relies on a delicate balance of good bacteria known as Lactobacillus strains to keep things feeling fresh, balanced, and harmonious. When our ecosystem gets thrown out of balance we might notice unpredictable intimate discomfort. This typically occurs in the form of mild irritation, unusual odours, or a general lack of freshness that throws off our confidence.

We may feel more sensitive or unbalanced right after our cycle ends or after spending hours sweating in synthetic activewear at the gym. And if you’ve recently had a course of medication, you’ll know all too well how it can completely wipe out beneficial bacteria, leaving you feeling more than a little out of rhythm.

Taking care of our intimate microbiome has historically meant swallowing massive, chalky capsules or downing dusty drinks that feel distinctly clinical. But intimate wellness shouldn’t feel like a medical prescription that we’re desperately trying to avoid; taking care of our intimate health has the ability to feel like a sweet moment of self-care instead, thanks to Flora Bytes.

When did you last give your intimate health some TLC? ✨
