10 years ago today, Cadets2 broke DCA, made history, and gave me my very first gold medal.

Somehow an entire decade has passed, but I swear this still feels like yesterday. I can still remember the feeling of hearing our name called, putting that medal around my neck, and realizing we had actually done it.

Forever grateful I got to be a tiny piece of Cadets2 history.

2016… you’ll always have a piece of my heart.

That day I truly came “Full Circle” ♥️💛⭕️

All-Age medal counts, DCA and DCI, 1965 to 2026.

Slides 1 and 2: the top tier, DCA Open Class, then World Class, then DCI All-Age.
3 and 4: A Class, the smallest tier, from 1997.
5: Open Class as a middle tier, which only existed from 2022.
6: the DCI era alone, 2024 to 2026.

Reading Buccaneers lead with twenty two top tier titles. Hawthorne Caballeros have the most podiums at forty one.

No single source covers all of this.

The rest of the top tier. Only fifteen corps have ever finished top three in an All-Age top division championship since 1965.

Minnesota Brass took the 2011 title and hold five seconds. Cadets 2 won in 2016. Westshoremen won in 1996. Atlanta CV have five podiums without a title, the most of any corps in the tier never to win it.

No single source covers all of this. Figures reconciled across archives.

A Class was DCA’s smallest tier, introduced in 1997, and it continues under DCI. Twenty six corps have placed top three.

Govenaires own it with six titles and eighteen podiums, placing top three in nearly two of every three championships ever held. Carolina Gold are next with three titles. Heat Wave have two titles and four seconds.

The rest of A Class. Nine of the twenty six corps here reached the podium exactly once.

Alliance won in 2008. Chops Inc won in 2005. Chieftains won the first A Class title in 1997. Erie Thunderbirds, SoCal Dream and Sun Devils each have two podiums and no title.

Note that A Class finals fielded only four corps in most years, and only two from 2001 through 2004.

#DCI2026 #DCI #AllAge #DrumCorps #marchingarts

The smallest board in this set. Open Class only became a middle tier in 2022, when DCA added World Class above it, so only four have ever been contested.

Cincinnati Tradition and Connecticut Hurricanes have two titles each. White Sabers have three second places and no title, the only corps in any All-Age tier with that record.

My heart is completely shattered… I was brought into this world by a Cadet and grew up always knowing the Cadets and knowing they were the best of the best. Having a Cadet as my mom, having a Cadet as my 4th grade social studies teacher at F. N. Brown Elementary School and learning how to march *correctly* in the Verona High School Marching Band by a Cadet, the Cadets have ALWAYS been a constant in my life. When I was in high school my freshman year, the Verona Marching Band received 2 of the Cadets Award of Excellence and I remember thinking how cool it was to have my high school band from a small town like Verona win a coveted award from THE Cadets... TWICE. In marching band it was my dream to become a Cadet one day. My mom would take me to a TON of drum corps shows and I still to this day say that “Angels and Demons” is my favorite drum corps show of all time. It was the very first Cadet show I’ve ever seen live. I’d ALWAYS would take photos with Cadets and absolutely fan girl over them. I was THAT band kid hahahaha. In 2016 I got to live out that dream to be a Cadet when I marched with The Cadets2, the only year the corps won DCA World Championships. I remember crying on the field at DCA Championships retreat because I truly fulfilled a dream of mine and mom and I becoming one of the only mother/daughter duos to go through the Cadets organization.

I’ve been welcomed and loved by Cadet alumni from all generations for years upon years, going to alumni gatherings and events. Mom and I would always go these Cadet events and that’s were I feel me and my mom truly bonded the most. We were the best versions of ourselves surrounded by an organization that we both truly loved like family. And even though I was usually the lone C2 alumni at these events, the Cadets alumni always welcomed me with open arms and even one time forced me to join them in singing “O Holy Name”.

The Cadets were truly a home for me and I’m shattered to see a place that has meant so much to not only me but so many is officially gone.

My heart goes out to all Cadets, Cadets2, CWP and Cadets Winter Guard. Launch Straight Through to Victory, For Holy Name Shall ALWAYS Be.

I am so excited to finally share this news with you all!! The AMAZING director of Fusion Winter Guard and a dear friend of mine, Mr. Rob Watson, reached out to me about a month or so ago asking me to join and perform with Fusion World in the 96th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!!! Performing in the Macy’s parade has been a dream of mine ever since I started my color guard career back in 2011 with Verona. I’m so excited and completely honored that Rob and the Fusion organization even thought of me to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I can’t thank them enough for this!!!

I watch the Macy’s parade every year with my family as a tradition and to think that this year it will not only be my first time going into the big city for the parade, but to actually BE IN the parade is mind blowing!! I still can’t believe it!!! This is the biggest performance opportunity of my life and and a dream come true!! There’s no other team I’d rather do this with than with my Fusion Family.

I along with my fellow Fusionettes are proudly representing Fusion Winter Guard and Winter Guard International by marching in this legendary parade, but of course I’d like to think I’m also representing all the other marching organizations that I personally have been a part of in the past that has shaped me and have led me to this monumental moment in my marching career: The Verona Marching Maroon and White, Fusion Winter Guard (naturally), Fusion Core, Q Performance Ensemble, the Cadets2, and Encorps.

Hope you all tune in to watch Fusion Winter Guard usher in the official start of the holiday season in the biggest parade on Earth! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Dreams really do come true kids!
