📚Our students were treated to a special assembly this morning. Author Danny Jordan delivered an energetic, inspiring and empowering message to our students while reading his award winning book, Rae’s First Day. If anyone is interested in purchasing a signed copy of his book, orders will be accepted in our school office through 9/17. Order forms can be picked up in the office or printed from our newsletter or social media pages.

Thank you to Danny, for taking the time to visit our school today, and to Kelsie Moscatello, our PTA Programs chair, for planning and coordinating this event for our students! 📖

The President is a bully. And this type of behavior starts in childhood which is why I write my books; to ensure ALL kids learn that their differences are what give them their superpowers in life. That way they don’t grow up to make hurtful and gross remarks like the ones made in the Oval Office this week. #storytime #antibullying #bullying #parenting #dad

Today we got a package in the mail from the author of @thecapables! The Capables is a book series with characters that represent a variety of disabilities like limb differences, dyslexia, autism and more! We encourage everyone to have books in your home, school and local bookstores and libraries that represent characters of all kinds. It is one of the best ways to start conversations about people that may be different than you.
