Shohei Ohtani’s Historic Run… So Why Are His Cards Dropping? 👀⚾🔥

Let’s talk about one of the greatest three-year stretches in baseball history.

🏆 2 MVP Awards
💍 2 World Series Championships
🥈 MVP runner-up finish in 2026

Shohei Ohtani is one of only TWO players in MLB history with at least FOUR MVP awards, joining Barry Bonds. But Ohtani stands alone as the ONLY player with 4 MVPs AND 2 World Series rings!

So why is his sports card market seeing a decline despite his historic accomplishments? 📉

Is this a buying opportunity for collectors and investors, or is the Ohtani market finally cooling off?

🎙️ The Hobby Chop Podcast breaks down Ohtani’s legacy, sports card values, and what could happen next.

👇 Are you BUYING, SELLING, or HOLDING Ohtani cards?

The sights of my fifth @nsccshow which was the best one yet! I held an authentic Topps T206 Honus Wagner card, Babe Ruth’s bat, made tons of sales, ripped packs, pulled excellent cards, watched @thecardboardcollaborative pull a 1/1 Paige Bueckers auto, and brought home some awesome PC Cards! So much more than I can fit in a simple IG reel. I already can’t wait until next year. Let’s run it back!

Only one month to go before the Hamden Card Show returns for its April 2026 edition. We are super excited to see the interest in this show continue to grow and we are amazed and humbled to announce that dealer tables are officially SOLD OUT for this show!! We do have an interest list for this and our future shows, so if you are considering becoming a vendor and would like more information or to be added, please reach out! We may not be the biggest show out there, but that won't stop us from putting on the best possible event possible! Please continue to like and share these posts to get the word out about the show. As an aside, we've heard the complaints about the parking and we are exploring options with the neighboring businesses about utilizing their parking lots as well. More to come on that front in a future post. Until then, we look forward to seeing all of you in a few weeks!
