Last week we did a thing, shot with the sporting hero of South Africa @siyakolisi on Tuesday and delivered the commercial on Friday. Made possible by our amazing agency @julesfromcanada, amazing crew and suppliers. It was fun, thank you!

A casting/audition is your ‘interview’ - and you do it for every single job 🤓 who sets up the parameters for that interview? A Casting Director.

What most actors don’t realise is that casting isn’t just about “finding the BEST actor”… it’s about finding the right fit for a very specific world, tone, and story.

That means sometimes it’s not about being “better” or “more talented” — it’s about being RIGHT for that story’s world.

So if you don’t book it?
It doesn’t mean you did it wrong.

It just means they’re building a very particular puzzle. And sometime it can be as simple as “we want: someone with longer/shorter hair, different eyes, another race, to match the look of the parent we already cast”

When you are the piece… they will fight for you.

🎬 Gentle reminder:
Your job is not to guess what they want.
Your job is to bring something truthful, specific, and unique to YOU.

The rest is out of your hands 🤍
