Memories are triggered. I hear the voices. I feel the room. I see the lights. Even the choreo is unlocked. It’s still very much a part of me and it’s 13 years later. #musicaltheatre #theatre

I’ve gone back and forth through different videos of my Miss America talent, and I always come back to this one. This video was shared with me by Brandi Davenport, my Miss Georgia Belle and Miss America Little Sister’s mom. And while it may not be the closest angle or the clearest video, it captures something I never could have seen from the stage. Demi’s reaction! Getting to sing “Maybe This Time” on the Miss America stage was already a dream, but seeing this performance through the eyes of a little girl who was watching from the audience makes it mean even more. I’ve said throughout this entire journey that my greatest hope was for one little girl to look at me on that stage and see a place for herself there too. To know that the biggest stages, the boldest dreams, and every opportunity in between can belong to her. So when I watch this video, I don’t just watch the performance. I watch her. And I think that might be my favorite view of the Miss America stage. ❤️ As always, thank you to @talentwolfe @lastingimpressionsformalwear and @thecbdmusicstudio for helping me put together every piece of this puzzle together! #missamerica #cabaret #maybethistime #missgeorgia #youbelonghere
