A little peek at what our Independent Artists have been making lately 👀

Our members come in with their own ideas, work at their own pace, experiment, make weird stuff, make beautiful stuff, make stuff just because they feel like it. ❤️

If you’ve taken classes and you’re ready to start making on your own, Independent Artist membership might be your next move.

Come make cool stuff with us. ✨

Do y’all know Shelby DeWitt?! If you’ve ever peeked in the studio, shes either teaching folks the wheel or making the cutest little charms, mugs, and whimsical pieces.

For Plant Objects, Shelby took a different direction with Temple of the Winds—a collection inspired by the Tower of the Winds in Athens, Greece. The leafy rims reference Corinthian-style columns and are hand built onto each wheel-thrown planter before being finished in matte glaze.

We love seeing artists push themselves in new directions, and we can’t wait for y’all to see this collection in person. 🌿

Mark your calendars!

Mark your calendars for First Friday, August 7 from 5–8 PM for our opening reception of Plant Objects. Meet the artists, explore the collection, and find your favorite pairing.

The exhibition will remain on display through the weekend while pieces are available.

This is our VERY FIRST ceramic art show, and we can’t wait to share it with you. ✌🏻✨

Summer is summering over here. ✨ We're all taking our well-deserved vacations, enjoying the flowers in the backyard and wrapping up our *last week* of kid's camp.

Dylan is very happy to be home. July classes and events are waitin' for ya on the calendar. Cute ceramic things are in the works for the shop! All in all, things are pretty darn good! ❤️

Sadly I haven’t had time to do a single art market sale this holiday season but the good news is I’ll have a bunch of lamps priced to make room for all the new lamps coming! Come see all of the makers at Knack this First Friday in Starland. #knackstudios #handmadepottery #firstfridaystarland #starland #makersmarket

✨FIRST FRIDAY POTTERY SALE✨ Me and some of the Knack independent artist gang will be hanging out at the studio on Friday Dec. 5th from 5-8pm!

Come hang, say hi, talk clay, see what everyone’s been cooking up in the studio, and most importantly: get some of your holiday shopping done! Pots will be on display and for sale, and we’ll all love ya for any level of support you show up with. This is the ONLY shopping opportunity you’ll have with me before the holidays as I’ve shifted focus this year from markets to building out my studio, so don’t miss it!

🗓️ See y’all this FRIDAY!

THIS. GLASS. CLASS... might be the BEST concept we've ever come up with. 😍

Did you ever play Tangrams as a kid? It's traditionally a wooden puzzle made of 7 geometric shapes. The shapes can be arranged to make cats, dogs, birds, trees, rocket ships - You name it!

We took this game and put a Knack twist on it. GLASS: TANGRAMS is a 2-part class where students will learn to cut, grind, foil, and solder colored glass to make a geometric suncatcher. 14 designs to choose from! ☀️✨

No! It's not another stained glass ad. We promise. ❤️

Instead, we thought our feed needed a little more HUMAN FACE! So, here's a photo of our growing studio crew. ✨

Studio dreams are coming true. ✨

Mark your calendars! We're launching STAINED GLASS with the lovely @dayglowstudios next month!

Our GLASS: TRY IT class is a one-time, 2hr studio session where students will learn how to solder while creating an awesome sun catcher. ❤️
