Raindrop here. 🐾

I’ve spent the last six months with this lion as my personal cuddle buddy. 🦁❤️

Then along comes my little sister Tiptoe, who’s known him for approximately five minutes and already thinks he belongs to HER. 🙄

She’s claimed his chest. I’ve secured his side. And Mom? Well, she can find somewhere else to sit. 💅

Six months of seniority vs. five minutes of audacity.

Either way, the lion is OURS. 🐾💕

I’m always a little hesitant to do a year-end wrap-up in the final week of the year. The holidays tend to pull me inward, and this season often comes with reflection and recalibration. Watching others share their wins brings up a mix of feelings — genuine joy for the incredible work happening around me, alongside awareness of how my own life, health, and priorities have been shifting.

Seeing performers rise visibly onstage fills me with admiration, especially as I quietly celebrated 18 years in burlesque this year. My path looks quieter from the outside right now — less shouty, less performative — largely because so much of my energy has gone into the slow, grinding, deeply meaningful labour of academia. I performed less, but I also accomplished a great deal that aligns with my values and with how I inhabit this hybrid scholar–artist life as an Aussie living in NYC.

🌱 Quieter wins
Health held. Body stronger. Home softer.
Plants mostly alive. Cat overwhelmingly spoilt.
Lots of water. Lots of books I didn’t “need” to read.

Leaving 2025 with less perfectionism, more follow-through, and a commitment to forging my own path — on the page and on the stage.

Survived 2025 in America with deep breaths, touching grass, and taking each news cycle one day at a time. 💗

Busiest year of my life. But so much fun playing with bunnies, seeing my friends succeed in their respective arts and careers, swimming and apple picking and visiting the Texas Chainsaw house. Running around Vegas with dear friends, hitting one thousand performances (and counting) of Speakeasy Magick. Watching it snow in Florida and visiting my uncle in New Orleans. Shooting arrows and decorating trees and between Speakeasy, the Slipper Room, and private gigs logging 360 shows. Lord have mercy. Happy New Year, Beautiful People.

Today is my birthday! 🥳
Not usually a huge fan but this year was super fun. Got to have an early, surprise birthday-eve celebration thanks to @kristianndances 😘 and everyone else who came out to hang!
.
Getting older is far from my favorite thing and most people are historically out of town this week so I usually don't do much. If I didn't get to see you, this was kinda a surprise outing so no worries! 🫶🏼 The evening started at @bathhouse in flatiron and ended the evening at @lilliesvictorian and some super fun and thoughtful balloons and my little boy @sirgoodwick 🥹🥹
.
Thank you again everyone! 🙏🏼

Value the ones who invite you to work out.
Anyone can invite you to a party or for a drink but only a few will push you to become your best self.
