“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
— L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

You gotta use this quote at least once a year, right?

An early fall morning in St. Louis. Have an early riser? Morning sessions might be just the thing! And the best part? You’re already dressed up and ready to head out for breakfast together afterward.

"LET US IN" (2024) [self-portrait with my dogs] 🐶🐶
.
>>>>SWIPE for settings/closer look/setup/BTS>>>>
🖤
No Ai. This is a 30+ photo/40+ layer composite. All my hands were taken in one set of 40 shots with an interval timer on my @canonusa R6. Dogs took two sets of 20 with many treats. With this composite, my tripod @vanguardphoto_usa was essential! Makes it so much easier in post when all the photos line up for layering.
🖤
3 @neewer light setup, 2 behind the door with red gels, 1 on the stairs with a snoot pointed at the dogs. @savageuniversal 9ft backdrop was used behind the door creating more contrast for my hands to pop.
🖤
This took 10 minutes to shoot, but it took hours to set up and I'm guessing 6-8 hours of editing in @photoshop & @lightroom . I like to tweak it artistically, every hand and matching shadow was placed with the dogs as the base shot.
🖤
Sorry my BTS photos are lame, I forgot to take stills, so they are screenshots from the BTS videos I'm excited to share in reels coming soon!

What’s pumpkin picking without a little pumpkin carving?

The most fun and creative fall session that left my creative cup full to the brim! So grateful for the Schleiffarth family for inviting me in to this fall family tradition 🎃

JOY. 🥹 That’s the word I think of, every time I go into a session … if I can capture just one thing during our time together, it’s the joy you have with the people you love the most. 💛

The world is a dark and sad place sometimes, but even just a few moments of relentless joy sure can bring some hope to us all. ✨

Thankful to get to see wonderful families year after year, to capture their beautiful joy. #ThankYou

"Spiderwebs" (2024) A Tribute Concept
Phone calls can be scary!
*
This is inspired by the music video, which is known for its use of a fisheye lens. I set out to incorporate that style, the iconic tank top, and of course, ACTUALLY BUILD A SPIDERWEB OUT OF TELEPHONE CORD.
