The Balanced Athlete is a comprehensive 8-week program designed to educate youth athletes on the equal importance of mental and physical wellness in sports. It addresses critical gaps in youth sports by highlighting the often-overlooked aspect of mental health, equipping young athletes with evidence-informed tools, techniques, and strategies. The program aims to empower athletes to not only excel in their sport but to thrive in all areas of their lives.

Before automatic doors, people had to manually shut both the shaft and elevator doors before riding.The story goes, when the daughter of African American inventor Alexander Miles almost fatally fell down the shaft, he took it upon himself to develop a solution. In 1887 he took out a patent for a mechanism that automatically opens and closes elevator shaft doors and his designs are largely reflected in elevators used today.
