Why Not Pike?

Greatest two day stretch since the Miracle on Ice. Now stay with me for the more important caption. I read in a different caption recently that said Jesus Christ is exactly who He says He is and that really stuck with me. Because Jesus Christ never came and declared Himself a power to lead politically or to tear anyone down, but instead He came to love and to call those to Him and through Him to the Father. Some of the people who read this caption have decided they are opposers of Christ because they stand against those who misrepresent Him. Nobody has ever gotten to know Jesus for who He is and regretted it, and nobody has ever gotten to know Jesus and came out worse. How many lives do you have to see changed before you’re willing to open your stance? I encourage anyone who has never given Him a chance to seek out who He is and what He stands for. Stop pointing to the failures of people as proof of the failure of a perfect God. And for those of you who do know Him, consider your representation. I see so much spewed hate and anger in the name of Jesus as if judgement is our role and not His. If we spent more time pointing people to Jesus and trusting that He will do a work in them in the same way He has done a work in us, we would see so much life change. But instead we spend so much time pointing at the sins of other’s as if they outweigh our own and saying you need to change this in the name of Jesus rather than showing them the Jesus in who’s name you declare. “Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” What does that look like in your life?

So I don’t ask why Pike anymore. I ask everyone else why not Pike.”
