“I have called you friends.” — John 15:15
Please join me at Marty B’s Women’s Bible Breakfast on Tuesday May 13th. We will be talking about the concept of friendship as exemplified by Jesus, emphasizing honor, humility and honesty.
Huge thank you to MAC Legacy for co-sponsoring this event with me as well as my 2 beautiful and talented daughters-in-love, Rachel and Sarah, for being there to support me, welcome everyone, and lead us in a time of worship. Doors open at 8:30am so be sure to stop by the tables where we will have my book, Never Hire Your Friends and also some other fun items. Looking forward to seeing you then!

It’s been almost 2 weeks since my book, Never Hire Your Friends: Leading Your Workplace Through Genuine Connection, was published, and I wanted to express how overwhelmed with thankfulness for the many friends and colleagues who attended the launch party. This book has been a life goal for me to share hard-earned lessons, and personal stories to help others navigate the road of leadership. It was deeply humbling to have so many come and help me celebrate!
To all the colleagues, friends, mentors, and readers who have shown their support - thank you. Your encouragement fuels the mission behind this book!
For those of you who are interested in the title, it means Always Hire Your Friends. The most rewarding aspects of my career have been the people I was privileged to lead. I hope the legacy of Friendship Management will continue in the careers and hearts of those I led.
* Thank you @askmaclegacy for hosting!!
** and of course we had plenty of red Tootsie Pops @tootsieroll

They say the best seasons are when you put everything on the line. This team did. This season may have been filled with blood, sweat, and tears but it was also filled with joy, celebrations, and the best soccer Argyle has seen yet. I am so proud of my team. I am so proud of my coaches. I am so proud of my program. Thank you seniors, you will forever be missed. Next year is ours!!!
