There were so many red flags, but never in a million years did I think this would be the outcome. I knew nothing about the medical system or what signs to look for. I trusted the people who did.

Looking back, suddenly losing the ability to pee feels like the biggest red flag. I wish the possibility of something neurological had been investigated that night. I keep wondering whether an MRI and spinal tap could have led to answers and treatment sooner.

I hope sharing my story helps someone recognize a warning sign and get help sooner, maybe something meaningful can come from all of this.

P.S. Not me gaslighting myself into thinking I didn’t actually cry.

making another batch of my banana bread syrup for my cozy fall coffee because i somehow go through it almost every week!! 🤎

banana bread syrup:

ingredients
• 1 ripe banana
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/3 cup maple syrup (i prefer it less sweet, but you can use up to 1/2 cup)
• 1 cup water
• 1 tbsp butter
• 1 tsp cinnamon powder
• 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract

instructions
mash the banana, then add the brown sugar, maple syrup, and cinnamon and mix until well combined. brown the butter separately and let it cool slightly before adding it to the banana mixture. stir in the water and let everything simmer until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. let the syrup cool completely, then add the vanilla and blend until smooth! 🌟

⭐️ raspberry lemonade matchacano! this was an interesting flavor combination with matcha! @roxiisupercube gifted me some of their nutrient- infused ice cubes and i tried glow, which is raspberry lemonade flavored.

i think it tastes good with matcha but it tastes even better with just plain water or sparkling water. it was a fun experiment to try it with matcha! i did have to use more matcha to be able to taste the matcha as strong as the flavor of the ice cubes.

I’ve been putting my banana syrup to work! I love not spending $8 on a drink every day. Recipe below:
Iced Banana Horchata Latte
- 2 shots of espresso brewed over vanilla bean paste and a teaspoon of brown sugar
- 4 pumps of banana syrup
- ice
-8oz of horchata
- top with caramel sauce
