Sharing some highlights from the last 3 days. Not shown: cleaning the toilet, my scratched up hands from needing to give my beloved cat medication, you know.

1. Friday banner drop for Palestine
2. Linneman’s timeless bar during a volunteer led fundraiser for @francescahongwi featuring @ryanmason18, @davepurcellmusic, @mostlymke, & @orangedrinkmusic
3. My backyard in bloom
4. Closing night for @theconstructivists production of Bug, which was incredible. Maya Danks’ director’s note, focusing on the theme of loneliness, bookended with @or_just_jaime leading the whole audience in singing happy birthday to @captjoedameron made the whole experience perfect.
5. @jvp_milwaukee tabling to raise awareness for @freesalahsarsour ❤️‍🔥
6. ✊🏻 @mkedsa table, join today!
7. Happened to be on hand while outside collecting signatures to volunteer to take the under the marquees pic for Amy Goodman, Carl Deal, Tia Lessin, & Carl’s local family. So then was able to get my own pic with the incredible team of @stealthisstoryplease
8. Also had the opportunity to get this pic with the one and only Jim Carpenter of @peace.action.mke (and featured @milwaukee4palestine volunteer!), and local activist & artist @suesimensky whose book Front Lines is out now!
9. After biking home from the film, I took a walk around my neighborhood. I found this @wordhousemke installation. I will now find others.
10. @riverwestgrown where I chatted with Nick about the time almost 4 years ago he hand delivered a onesie and tank top for my babes to my porch. And snagged my Mother’s Day petunia seedling and finally bought my own Riverwest grown shirt.
11. @riverwestradio104.1, our very own local independent media treasure who helped bring @stealthisstoryplease here! Gonna try to get on those waves soon myself, and they have their big boat ride coming up! Get your tickets!
12. I identify as a parent, not exactly a mother, but my kids call me mom. Being a parent makes me want to give my best (whatever that is in the moment) to making the world a place we all grow up, to live and be loved.

Oh Bug-a-boo, I love you. 🪲

We pulled off a damn good show, and a damn hard one at that. No unfinished business here.

Already itching to direct again.
