This lobby practiced ‘welcome’ until the tenth second fit like a key 🗝️ - As Shaz told us: - “Look closer at the lobby and you realize even the tenth second was considered! Run a hand along the wall and it’s leather strips hand-strung into a lattice, tile by tile, until the whole thing catches light like woven rope over terracotta. Sit for a second in the low chair nearby and the contrast does the work for you, a base rough enough to feel quarried, and on it, sage-olive finish so soft, it brings you back to now. The console looks pleated rather than carved, its handles folded down into tiny ziggurats you almost want to count. The lavenders spilling wherever it wants under the yuccas, nothing clipped into place. And underfoot, the rug ripples rather than lines up, rust, cream, and charcoal moving like they’re mid-motion. That’s really the only thing I was building towards. Not a lobby. Straight from Shaz - “The corridor from the lift is long, and I intended to keep it that way. I wanted a walk. I wanted the light to sit low the whole way, so nothing pulls your eye up too fast. The first thing, is a red rust-toned lattice panel on the wall, hand-woven, with fringes trailing down. It catches the light from one low brass sconce and holds onto it. There’s a chair in there, rust-brown, an olive cushion, that has an absurd quality to it: it takes people a second to realise it’s furniture at all! I liked that confusion, makes you think. And then there’s lavender under the yuccas that I’ve asked to not be trimmed. It’s supposed to spill and beautify. Somebody keeps tidying it back into shape and I keep pulling it loose again, a small, friendly tug-of-war that’s been going on for months. I didn’t plan any of this to be clever. I just know what happens to people as soon as they enter this lobby. They slow down without noticing they’re doing it. By the time they’d think to ask why, they’re already at the door, and I am eager to welcome them! That’s really the only thing I was building toward. Not a lobby. 2.5 years in the making. 75+ projects shaped. 25+ architects and interior designers who trusted a young idea with real spaces and real people. We started with soft furnishings, fabrics that softened corners, curtains that held morning light, textures that made houses feel lived in. But beneath every stitch was design thinking, waiting to grow beyond the loom. Our co-founder @nidhie_gupta came with a decade of textile wisdom, the eye of a designer, the patience of a craftsperson, and the belief that comfort is never accidental. She built Creative Comforts the way good interiors are built: layer by layer, detail by detail, intention over impulse. And then the spaces spoke back to us. They asked for more than cushions and drapes. They asked for vision. Structure. Identity. So today, we turn the page. A new chapter where Creative Comforts evolves into something stronger, sharper in approach, braver in creativity, more design-led than ever before. Years of Youth 👯‍♂️ - The kids’ bedroom erupts like a Technicolour movie still, loud, proud, and blissfully allergic to clichés. Forget the pink princess formula and think pure Wes Anderson whimsy where pastels misbehave, patterns flirt, and geometry throws a tiny, adorable tantrum. Every wall wears storybook style custom wallpapers that practically beg for imagination: dreamy dogs, negotiated doodles, and identities tried on like costumes. The bunk bed stands centre stage, part fort, part theatre, part HQ for late night conspiracies. An eye-candy wooden flooring and clever textiles keep things charming but not childish. Even the curtains with their tiny wooden buttons whisper that someone obsessed over this. Nothing here is saccharine or short lived. It is a room built to grow, to stretch, to shapeshift over the next six or seven years. “Little Birdies are my roommates!” 🦜 - An opulent hush unfurls before anything else, an opening note woven from wingbeats and wonder. In the master bedroom of Roof for 37, refinement takes on a near-mythic eloquence. A sculpted mountain headboard rises in serene majesty, its contours echoing ancient terrains. Dragonflies, rendered in lustrous embroidery, alight upon cushions like jewelled apparitions. A stingray-inspired luminaire spills a tidal glow across the parquet floor, turning its wooden geometry into molten amber. Painterly birds drift across the wallpaper, a quiet prelude to the aviary just beyond the window, home to thirty exotic roommates whose plumage and soft tremors complete this living sanctuary. Tasselled curtains punctuate the space with ornamental drama, while a blush pink moulding frames the room in genteel whimsy. The living room at Roof for 37 unfurls as a luminous homage to green, a colour that here is neither quiet nor ostentatious, but regal in its restraint. The walls are bathed in a subtle yet commanding metallic green, a finish that catches light like shifting foliage and releases it in soft liquid glimmers. It creates an atmosphere that feels almost enchanted, as though the room has absorbed the calm of the surrounding hills and now radiates its own gentle vitality. Nature is woven through the space in a chorus of accents. Organic silhouettes curve along consoles, botanical motifs ripple across fabrics, and sculptural pieces echo the fluid geometry of leaves, stems and wild terrain. Every artefact carries an earthbound whisper, grounding the room while elevating it into something almost otherworldly. From the bedroom, the birds contribute their own quiet overture, soft chirps, delicate flutters, small declarations of life that wander into the living room like drifting notes of music. Their presence gives the space a rhythm, a heartbeat, a living counterpoint to its crafted serenity. The Gaudí-Inspired Shelves at The Fable - Forget the polite bookshelf. Forget the meek partition. In The Fable’s living room, what stands is neither furniture nor backdrop. It is an architectural provocation. A sculpted body of ferrocement that twists, bends, and asserts itself with every right to occupy the room. This is not Gaudí copied. This is Gaudí interrupted, dissected, and reborn. The curves refuse rigidity; they challenge the tyranny of straight lines. They ripple with a kind of muscular elegance, off-white, tactile, unapologetic. It is not trying to blend in. It is not trying to be liked. It exists to dominate, to dictate, to define. Behind it, a hand-painted mural dares to expand the story. Art bleeding into structure, narrative layered over architecture. Accessories do not decorate; they sharpen the statement. Each one chosen, each one deliberate, nothing ornamental, everything essential. Call it maximalism if you will, but not the cluttered cliché of it. This is maximalism as discipline, layered with intent, sharpened with precision, alive with conviction. The shelf is not merely a shelf but a conversation-starter.
