Saturday night was truly one for the books. A big thanks goes out to The Current. Ent. For co producing this show with me to bring out these amazing headliners. Words cannot do it justice. After almost 2-1/2 years of hosting comedy shows at Rubble’s Bar, this one takes the cake as the best one so far. It truly blew the doors off the place. Headliners JJ Alexander and Mason Bird took us to school on how to headline a show and brought a fantastic feature with them in Nick Hartley. Norman Dwayne did not disappoint and neither did our two local comics. Mount Pleasant should be proud of Brett Shahin and J-Mo Comedy for their opening sets representing the home crowd. I was honored to host this show and I’m so, so proud of what my crazy idea in April of 2024 has turned into. Rubbles is on the map baby! Don’t stop chasing your dreams fellas, you’re the only one holding you back!

@jj_standup welcome to The Current. family! We are super excited to announce the first official addition ever to our roster… JJ Alexander! He’s been in the comedy scene for over 5+ years and upon moving to Austin, during his first Kill Tony Appearance, won the first ever physical Golden Ticket! It’s an honor and a pleasure for us to be working with such great talent! All inquiries for JJ Alexander can be sent to: paul@thecurrent.group or thecurrententbr@gmail.com - The Current.
