One of the absolute best nights of my entire life. I’ll never be able to thank @meredithhuff enough for the time and energy she put into not only planning this night but keeping it all a surprise. I was completely shook. And thank you to @ericalouise11 for the help and moral support she provided Mere. I’ll also never be able to thank the people from every era of my life who made sacrifices in their own life to be there this weekend. I was equal parts floored, humbled and eternally grateful. NYC, LA, Chicago, Detroit, Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, Indianapolis, and Kentucky were all represented. Thank you for all who attended. Including my family (from both sides) making the short weekend trip, my college roommate, @thedadssoftball, Mizzou crew, Cali friends, coworkers both past and present, and so many more. I hope you had even an iota of the amount of fun I had. The theme was Austin Huff’s Eras Tour and the costumes from the various eras of my life were so on point. Including “you gotta see The Bean,” “pour some out for Steve McNair,” Dippin Dots, Nashville Sheraton Valet, Waffle House, Mizzou, and Dodger Dog just to name a few. Thank you to @reserve22atthelinks and @docs_victory_pub_elmhurst for hosting the party and the afters. Incredible hospitality from start until literally the lights came on at Docs. Thank you to @simplysoundlive for the amazing entertainment. They truly are so much fun and I wasn’t the only one who thought it was a DJ for half the night until I realized it was them. They’re that good. I have no idea where Tall Austin is, but I hope he found a good home and is safe somewhere. Did I cry some happy tears after being filled with emotion this weekend and even the few days after? PEOPLE ARE ASKING.
