POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

hi everyone!! amazing news - the BIPOC IN FAY: stories of Black +/Indigenous +/Brown People living in Fayetteville, Arkansas zine is getting turned into a BOOK!

Dr. Alice Lee of Dual Press generously offered to redesign + print our zine as a book with 60 copies for contributors in Spring 2027. We also have plans to launch it for nationwide distribution after our limited run. So we’re re-opening submissions for art and writing for BIPOC IN FAY: THE BOOK at bit.ly/bipocinfay by Nov 1 💖

questions to consider ~

How have your communities of origin found home (or not) in Fayetteville, Arkansas? What kinds of pushback have they experienced? Are there any sites in town that remind you of your community’s history and lineage? What would you like folks from other places to know about your community’s survival in Fayetteville? How would you describe your experience of being a Black, indigenous, and/or Brown person in Fayetteville?

link in bio to submit 💖💖

the original zine includes contributions from @cheanieku @transformisogynoir @sofia_naseem @thedaimck @c44tie @nevertheless_noelia @briandre2021 @nobonesleft @evilarabhoe @theirnameismoon and was printed thanks to @essyre__

the zine is currently still for sale at @thelibraryvintage and in circulation at @fayettevillepubliclibrary ✨ this is a chance to have your community’s story in the archives in book form in an even more meaningful and exciting way.

Hi Northwest Arkansas! Thank you so much for the follows and support and to everyone who has reached out for a pseudo ad for the proof of concept or general encouragement~

Here are some of the ad concepts I have been working on this week. Very close to finishing the proof of concept!

So whats next?

I will print a handful of them and start showing the vision to businesses in person and figure out how many should carry them, ect. Will post more updates as I figure it out!
