✨ DAY 1 of our INAUGURAL Ballet+ Vancouver! 🇨🇦🩰

What an incredible start to our very first Canadian event! ❤️ We had the privilege of dancing inside the beautiful Ballet BC studios on Vancouver’s Granville Island, a space filled with so much creative energy. ✨ We feel incredibly lucky to be here, sharing the space, the movement, and the magic together.

From ballet 🩰 to Limón modern, contemporary, and improvisation 💫, we’re exploring, growing, connecting, and pushing boundaries together. Every class, every movement, and every moment reminds us why we do what we do: to learn, to share, to create, and to grow through dance. 🤍🔥

The energy is REAL, the community is growing, and we’re only just getting started! 🚀

Thank you @balletbc for lending us your home and thank you for the warm reception, Vancouver!

Day 2, HERE WE COME! 💥🩰❤️

the time of my life… something i found myself saying over and over again whenever anyone asked me how i was doing 🫶

as i sit here on the plane home, looking back on the last month and a half, all i can feel is grateful. 39 pieces choreographed. countless hours in the studio. body constantly sore. but yet i still found myself not ready to go home at the end of my days

when i first made the decision to step away from the competitive dance world and move to london, there was a lot of fear that came with it. i was leaving behind a world that had been such a huge part of my life for so many years, and i didn’t really know what that would look like on the other side

getting to come back now as a guest choreographer and create on dancers i’ve watched grow up throughout my years in vancouver feels incredibly full circle. to still have a place here, to walk back into these studios and feel at home, and to get to do what i love with people i love is something i will never take for granted

thank u to every studio that welcomed me and every person i got to share a studio with. thank u for trusting my ideas, letting me create, and reminding me over and over again why i love what i do so much

my heart is very full. what a special chapter this was.

back to london i go ✈️

Sometimes colour correction starts months before the lightener ever touches the hair. 🧪

My client is naturally a level 6 with fine hair, but for years we had been colouring her with permanent IGORA ROYAL 8-77 + 20 vol.

I knew blonde was eventually the goal, but I didn’t want to take years of permanent copper and immediately start trying to bleach through it.

So in October 2025, I took her brunette — close to her natural level 6.

The brunette wasn’t meant to magically remove the copper or “heal” the hair. It gave me something much more valuable: TIME.

We stopped continually adding that intense copper and allowed that old colour history to grow farther down the hair while keeping her colour wearable and closer to her natural level.

7½ months later, on June 17, we started blonding.

For our first session I used AirTouch, blowing out the shorter hairs, and began lifting her progressively.

Is a natural level 6 chemically the same as an artificially coloured level 6? No. But I now had a much more controlled canvas than I would have had if I’d continued applying 8-77 right up until her blonde appointment.

This wasn’t about getting her blonde as fast as possible.

It was about planning the transformation months in advance and protecting the integrity of her fine hair.
Do you agree with this approach?
Xx
