A few hours from now, I’ll be standing at the start line of the @frankfurtmarathon . 🏁
It began simply as I signed up just to spend time with @jaigupta_10 & @tanyakumar22 after they moved to Nuremberg. Then, got other boys signup and what started as a reunion became a whole clan chasing the same finish line.
But this last week tested me like no training block ever has.
On Monday, a wrong setting on my Normatec compression boots led to nerve compression in my right ankle, within hours it had swollen like a baby elephant’s foot. Just putting weight on it hurt, Running wasn’t even a thought. What followed were frantic calls, SOS messages and Dr Chandan Chawla coming to the rescue. He found the cause, started rehab with meds and slowly brought me back, by Thursday I was walking. With his green signal, I boarded the flight to be ready to run. Did 2 easy runs to check the body, a 4K easy run on Friday night and a 6K easy run on Saturday morning, almost pain-free, the comeback was in sight.
And then Frankfurt decided to throw its own challenge. 🌧️ It has rained all night and is forecast to rain through the entire race, with winds of 20-26 km/h and gusts up to 56 km/h. 💨 Friday night was so stormy we could barely walk and we joked that the race direction should be changed to follow the tailwind.
But we control the controllables. So I’ll be on that start line with a revised pace plan, respect for the weather & mindful of my ankle, bringing home an injury is not worth it.
Behind this race is 18+ weeks of work on the training block battling brutal Delhi heat and humidity with some relentless work travel. Early alarms and stolen hours to make sure the training never slipped (Yes, I’m guilty of not posting about every bit of it😄) however I’ve always believed race day results are an outcome of your training so its time to enjoy and embrace.
Today, I won’t run alone, I have the best people beside me at the start, an incredible cheering squad along the course and the blessings of my ultra-human friends and family carrying me forward. ❤️
Whatever the wind and rain bring, I’ll give it everything I’ve got. Dankeschön! 🙏Wir sehen uns an der Ziellinie.

Around 17 days ago, I managed to do something I never thought would be possible~ taking on one of the world’s highest Ultramarathons in Ladakh.

72 km. 1406m of elevation gain. 12h46m of finding out what I’m actually made of.
Still not fully over it.

Grateful beyond words for @runwithreeti and everyone who carried me through in spirit even when I wanted to stop.

Khardung La, you’ll stay with me for a while. 🏔️🙏🕉️🧿

Some goodbyes are full of pride, not tears !

This morning, we gathered as one community to see off our own Goldy @goldybaisoya , as he sets out to take on the mighty Silk Route Ultra - 122 kms @ladakhmarathon in the heart of Ladakh.

122 kms of thin air, tough climbs, and mightier mountains. If anyone can dance through it, it’s him. His courage is unmatched, his strength immense, and his heart even bigger.
Go make those mountains yours, Goldy. Run strong, run safe, and come back with another story that will inspire us all over again.

We are all running with you @goldivibesonly

Five years. FIVE.YEARS.

I keep saying it out loud and it still doesn’t feel real.

This morning, some of you showed up - sweaty, smiling, and exactly where you always are. And some of you were out there in the world - on a beach, on a plane, in another timezone, but honestly? You were there too because every one of you has left something behind in this community that doesn’t go away when you do.

@runwithreeti isn’t just a running group. It’s the 4am alarms we actually kept. It’s the runs where nobody talked and the runs where nobody stopped talking. It’s the movies, the trips, the random Sunday brunches, the “okay just one more kilometre” that turned into three. It’s the days someone was falling apart and the group just quietly held them up without making a big deal of it.

You’ve inspired ME more than you know. You’ve inspired each other more than you realise. And together, we’ve built something I didn’t know I was building - until I looked up and five years had somehow passed.

To everyone in this photo, and everyone who should be in it - THANK YOU.
For showing up.
For lifting each other.
For making every mile mean something.

Here’s to the miles behind us, and all the miles still ahead.

Meeting the Ultras 🫡

Last Year (2025): August 28th – September 1st at Khardung Village

With race day approaching, the ultra-runners arrived for their mandatory two-week acclimatization.

I crossed paths with three incredible athletes—Geeta, Mahejabin, and Kapil—who were taking on the brutal 122km Silk Route Ultra (SRU). We decided to head down to Khardung Village together to stay a few nights and train right at the appropriate point.

 Meeting them was a true gift 💝, and I feel incredibly blessed to have them in my life. To say their achievements are remarkable would be an understatement.

 The next day, Gaurav joined our crew. He was also tackling the SRU, and I remembered him from 2024 when he crushed the Khardung La Challenge.

Hearing the four of them break down their strategies for a 122km race did wonders for my nerves. It made my upcoming 72km journey feel a lot less daunting—plus, I had a massive head start on acclimatization, having been in Leh since June 18th!
In the end, their experience and hard work paid off spectacularly—all four of them completed the 122km Silk Route Ultra in incredible fashion 🫡

“Not to forget our amazing homestay! They took such good care of us, and the food made with fresh vegetables was honestly to die for.”

And Yes I felt Snow for the first time as well 😇

@geetaahlawat - Ms Geeta
@fit_tan_mom_mahezabin15 - Ms Mahejabin
@stride_n_hike - Mr Kapil
@thedimpledrunner - Mr Gaurav

🙏🏾

Stay tuned for my first-ever ultra experience in the next post! 🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️
