First Floor all wrapped up at this lakefront build!

W24x104 and W12x170 beams at the very back required the 60 Ton crane to come out for lifts. Heaviest beam in this floor was 5900lbs!

To end the week, we installed all the blocking and packing for the large recessed/flush threshold sliding doors.

Look out as we prepare for the next 60,000 lbs of steel going into the second floor of this home

Our latest feature friday has landed .... Welcome to our cottage in the woods, on Lake Joseph - in beautiful Muskoka Ontario Canada. Full version available in YouTube, via link in bio.

This project has been years in the making, with the build managed by the clients - one nail at a time, one detail after the next .... everything executed to their level of perfection to be enjoyed for decades to come.

This cottage has been in the family, already, for generations - but it was time for a new structure that the entire family could enjoy at the same time. This 7 bedroom, 7 bathroom project is designed for entertainment and relaxation.

Rising out of the land, we retained the bedrock on the property and embraced it as a strong design element on the entry side of the cottage. While at the rear, the explosion of lake connectivity happens. Walls of window and sliding doors open up to an amazing filtered view, as we retained most of the trees along the lakeside for privacy.

All windows, doors and custom screen assembly for the Muskoka were supplied and installed by our partner in the industry... @thedoorsltd

House 71 // Rear Facade // What begins as a classic, grounded brick pattern gradually transforms as it rises, shifting from a solid masonry base to playful 3D projections, and finally dissolving into a perforated metal screen that brings privacy to the bathroom, while still letting light through the windows.
