Beginning my 34th season with everything I need 😌

What a blessing to celebrate my birthday (Oct 23) surrounded by over 75 beautiful souls who showed up to celebrate my life. The love, the laughter, the light. I’m truly rich in all the ways that matter. ✨

Here’s to what’s ahead, rooted in love, healing and joy 💛

“Keep uplifting the hood and spreading love.” - @cujodah

Today, on the second day of Kwanzaa, I reflect on Kujichagulia, the principle of self-determination.

I often ask myself:
Who am I?
Am I truly who I say I am?
Am I living up to all that I’m meant to be?

Here’s what I’ve come to know:
✨ I am who I think I am.
✨ I trust God’s plan for my life.
✨ I pour into myself first so I can pour into others.
✨ I show love and extend grace in abundance.
✨ I represent who I am, wherever I go.
✨ I plant seeds, build safe spaces, and soak in the sunshine.
✨ I center joy every chance I get.
✨ I explore the world with curiosity and wonder.
✨ I honor my duty to my family.
✨ I do things afraid, but I do them anyway.

I’m not perfect, but I love myself that way. 💛

Customers can make a donation in the IEi boxes found at each register. All donations will go to support our efforts to empower youth and families in the Greater Englewood community. 💪🏽✨

Thank you Mission! Shout to our volunteer, Ismail, for suggesting us to be the nonprofit of the month. You’re the best!💚
