Can't believe this little man is 1 year old today! So sad that we have to spend your first birthday apart, but I know you're having a great time at your grandparents' house playing with Daisy and eating pup cups! Hope you had a great birthday! Thanks Mom and Dad for watching Mouse for us and making his birthday special! 🥰❤️ #happybirthday #mouse #pitbulllove #labrabull #adoptlove #1yearold

On April 5th, during my shift at work, this beautiful baby was surrendered by his owner, who could not keep him anymore. When they say that the dog chooses you, it's not a lie because the second I saw his face, I knew he'd be coming home with me. I immediately texted my husband the first picture shown and basically said, "Please?". After some talk and realizing he wasn't going to get much bigger than he already is, my wonderful husband agreed to fostering this baby in order to test how it would work out with our cats. So after being in the kennel for only 2 short days, on April 7th, he came home from work with me. After being at our apartment for almost 2 weeks and working on getting the cats used to him, I was ready to sign the papers. So we went in on April 19th and officially adopted this adorable ball of love and energy! So, without further ado, meet Mouse, our new 7.5 month old lab/terrier pup! The cats are still a little unsure about him, but that's to be expected. We know that with time, they will get more and more used to his presence. (And don't worry, we still give the cats plenty attention and play time). #newpuppy #labradormix #mix #adoptlove #lexingtonhumanesociety #loveatfirstlook

Happy Birthday to Skimbleshanks, our little roadside kitten! Cant believe you're actually 1 now! You have definitely lived up to all the orange cat standards and have made our lives so much fun. Even if you do love dad more than me 🙄😅, I'm glad I picked you up from the side of the road that day. Love you bunches Skimble 🥰❤️ #orangecat #birthday #1yearold #roadsidekitten #skimbleshanks

RIP Perssy. You were the best little cornsnake anyone could ask for. I'm sorry we all didn't get to have as much time together, but these last 6 months with you have been the best. Thanks for being the best first snake and bringing so much joy and craziness to our lives. We love you always ❤️🥺🐍🪽 #rip #bestcornsnake #weloveyoubuddy #beatpeace

‼️Trigger Warning‼️: slide 4 is a video of a snake eating (in case you dont like that), and slide 10 shows a little bit of blood. Skip those slides if either of those things make you uncomfortable. Otherwise, enjoy some cute baby animals! On August 3rd, Tre and I brought home our first official pet together, a little baby amelonistic (aka albino) corn snake. Then, just over 2 weeks later, on the 20th, I found kitten on the side of the road, and we found ourselves adopting an adorable little orange tabby with a broken jaw and big personality. So, everyone meet Perssy the snake and Skimbleshanks the orange kitty! Skimbleshanks' jaw is all healed now, and Perssy has shed twice since we've had him! So both are healthy and doing well! Perssy loves to eat, dig, and climb up on top of anything he can. Skimbleshanks has so much energy and a huge appetite for a tiny little guy. He loves food and playing and annoying the crap out of the other two boys lol. While we did not expect to be adopting two new animals in the span of a few weeks, they've brought so much joy to our lives. ❤️ #cornsnake #orangecat #rescue #newpets

Can't believe it's already been one year since we started dating. Thanks for making this year amazing in so many ways. You love me and cherish me more than I ever thought possible. You push me to be a better version of myself and encourage me when I feel lost. You pick me up when I fall down and provide the wind beneath my wings when I fly. I love you so much and can't wait to see what the future holds. Happy anniversary, baby 🥰💕
