Man oh man...this trip was a beautiful lesson every step of the way! Be open to receive what you prayed for...OK!! 🫣😂 THIS stretched me, while placing me into a space of wonder, love, guidance, friendship, building new bonds, & the thing I'm always running from (😂 my friends know): leadership. It reminded me that I've worked hard & still do; I'm committed to my craft, culture, and community; I preserve, uplift, and educate; & I'm forever a student, but Sis gotta step back & pat herself on the back more. 20+ years of work & still going...Give thanks🙏🏾 I teach my littles, a.k.a. my mentees/students, to go after their goals & dreams, to live fully & boldly, to plan accordingly but also do it scared, and to trust the process. Then, when things don't work out as planned, learn the art of the pivot. I was living all of this in real time while taking "my littles" along for the ride! Talk about hands-on learning! 💛 Big ups & major love to @iaddtc24 @silvestreassociacaocultural @silvestre1414 @movingspiritsinc @maxinemontilus Once again 👏🏾 y'all curated such a wonderful conference. Thank you for all your hard work in bringing this to life! I'll be back again in 2028. Big hugs & love to the @camillewdance.co dancers who joined me on this journey: @yvonne.faith.russell @gabri.ellealexis @lilliedances2 @theeamarisb @ah.nah._ Thank you all for bringing my vision to life again in 🇧🇷 I hope you all know how much I truly appreciate each of you! 💜 #gratidão #camillewdance #africandiasporadance #iaddtc26 #ancestraljoy

In just 18 days, we'll be heading to Brazil for the International African Diaspora Dance Traditions Conference (@iaddtc24)! 🌾✨💛 We're honored to be performing excerpts from We Are the Harvest while also taking classes, learning from and exchanging ideas with fellow artists, and connecting with dance communities from across the 🌎! Opportunities like this remind us that sustaining and building cultural memory happens through both sharing our work and remaining lifelong students. We can't wait to build new relationships and continue cultivating stories rooted in culture, ancestral memory, and community. See you at #IADDTC! 🤎 📸: We Are The Harvest excerpt, rehearsal 2025 #WeAreTheHarvest #CamilleWDanceCo #AfricanDisporaDance #danceconference

(Video coming later) To my wonderful amazing cast !❤️ I love you all to pieces! Sticking it out with me from beginning to end💯😩 some of u I’ve worked with a million times before , others this was our first time collabing and lemme Just say we all had a ball. Ending every rehearsal with a good ole twerk session LMFAO! This dance was so special to me … 3 years in the making and I’m glad it was with you all! This by far is my favorite dance I’ve choreographed in one of my favorite casts to work with🥹 to the ones whose jazz funk is not your forte… SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO YALL for opening your mind to do something new because that’s not easy. Special shout out to my Virginia dancers who would drive back-and-forth twice a week to make rehearsals💯 dedication at its finest! Thank you vessel for giving me the opportunity to show my work on stage and remind everyone who bree Rose is lol this is not the End of me TRUST! 😜 Shoutout to Michael Jackson ! For being the absolute best entertainer to ever live ! Im so glad we got to honor you the day after your passing anniversary 🥹 I hope we did u proud ! and last but NEVER least shoutout to God for giving me the creative mind to pull this off ! ❤️
