Sonder ll Is there a greater death of the ego than realizing that you are not the center of the universe, but rather one of its many stars?

Charcoal Arts Initiative Project: Layers Deep

A project that reflects the inner self/ego, that we are too afraid to explore or reveal.

The parts that are our purest truths, existing in another realm, outside of our world and our reach. It is so profoundly internal, that it is completely separate from ourselves.

It is too many layers deep.

“IMAGINARY OTHER” ❤️‍🩹
@charcoalmagazine

this issue’s theme was “ego death,” and on that journey to explore ourselves, transform, and lose our egos. an ego death is not only a loss, but we gain something too— love for ourselves and those around us. in this shoot, we tackled this idea: the relationship between love and loss.

special thanks to @gaurinema and @manasvita_maddi for choosing me to model for this shoot. and thank you to everyone @charcoalmagazine for bringing this issue to life in such a beautifully raw and emotional way ✨
