Their wedding ceremony included a game show called 'Family Misfortunes.'

Yasmine and Matt had already done the legal bit the year before. This time, they wanted their guests involved rather than sitting politely on the sidelines.

So Yasmine’s radio-presenter brother led the ceremony and secretly surveyed their closest friends the night before.

During the wedding, he turned their answers into 'Family Misfortunes', complete with in-jokes, audience participation and a golden skull trophy for the winners.

It set the tone rather brilliantly.

The dress code was “Flair as f*ck.” Yasmine wore rhinestones, feathers and white cowboy boots. Matt went Victorian gothic with a leopard-print waistcoat.

Then came a mariachi band in Día de Muertos face paint, drag performer Seayoncé appearing as a spirit guide before doing tarot readings, black margaritas and a gothic banquet involving savoury black ice cream cones, beetroot-cured octopus, charcoal meringues, chocolate skulls and rose-scented dry ice.

Think Dita Von Teese meets gothic rock disco, with a bit of Glastonbury and Las Vegas thrown in.

See Yasmine and Matt’s wedding on the blog. Comment LINK to go straight there.

The night before…

This is what it looks like when you turn Huntsham’s beautiful courtyard into the most effortlessly stunning, French Riviera style alfresco dinning experience.

I may not ever get over just how exquisite this evening was.. every single detail had been so carefully thought through and the beautiful summer evening weather provided the most perfect backdrop.

And I don’t know if I could even begin to describe the love in the air - absolute magic.

There’s something about “the night before” evenings.. all the excitement & anticipation, the reunions, the outside noise slowly tuning out and the beautiful joining together of all of your favourite people finally being in once place ready to celebrate your love.

Just an absolute delight to be a part of that so perfectly set up the weekend ahead… ✨

Saturday - The ceremony, speeches, food & drinks, dancing, and that impossible-to-recreate feeling of having everyone we love in one place.

Elegant, emotional, and overwhelming in all the best ways...but most of all completely full of joy. We’ll never quite get over it.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of it.

Katie & Alex | Huntsham Court 1/2

The transatlantic tale of when Katie Williams met Alex Williams, and they became… Mr & Mrs Williams 🥂 working with this pair was truly a highlight of the year, the fact they love cats only added to my love for them 🐈‍⬛.

A beautiful; memorable, hilarious, sunny day in June at my favourite place.

Choosing images was extremely hard and I’ve been working on this post on and off for a few days, so I’m posting twice!

Thank you for choosing us, we are super excited to call you guys friends now, and cannot wait to see you again either this side of the Atlantic or the other!
