Data alone doesn’t tell the full story.

Here is another clip from my conversation with Alison Kermode, where we talk about balancing "mind energy" and "heart energy" to make better decisions.

While numbers are important, relying strictly on data can lead to blind spots and unconscious bias. True holistic decision-making happens when you pair data with intuition and empathy.

How do you strike the balance between data and intuition in your decision-making? Let’s chat in the comments! 👇

We all have an ego. And in the corporate world, it is driving the car.

Think of your mind as an overdeveloped, bulging muscle. It is stuck in survival mode: defensive, protective, and terrified of making a mistake.

Meanwhile, our capacity for empathy and compassion is a scrawny little muscle we barely train.

When I sat down with corporate growth strategist Alison Kermode on the podcast, she broke down why this balance is ruining workplace cultures.

The ego hates collaboration. It hides mistakes. It treats coworkers like enemies.

But when you intentionally shift the balance toward heart-centered energy, everything changes:
✅ Defensiveness drops.
✅Communication actually happens.
✅Teams solve problems together instead of playing a blame game.

You don’t need a massive corporate overhaul overnight. You just need to be 1% better tomorrow than you are today.
